Vistana resort shuttle to WDW

Does anyone have any experience with the shuttle(s) from the Vistana Resort? Do they run fairly often, are there enough shuttles available at park closing, do they go to Downtown Disney (or do we need to use the park busses once at WDW?) We plan on contacting the resort for info, but first-hand experience is always more accurate!

We are heading there soon and I'm starting to have anxiety about spending lots of time riding busses--time I could be spending at the parks! Maybe we should rent a car to save on time? Better yet, next time we'll stay on-site!!
