Vistana resort & parking????

Can anyone please shed any light on the parking situation at Vistana resort? I have a unit on hold but have just read that they do not permit rental vehicles to park on the premises! I guess there must be a designated area for parking but can't seem to find out where it is! Also is Vistana very spaced out or are a lot of facilities within walking distance of the accomodation? Also are the pools warm. We are hoping to be there 1st week of December. Any info on Vistana which you can share would be greatly appreciated.

At Vistana, as long as your rental vehicle is not one of the recreational behemoths, you can park close to your unit, in the regular parking area. Put another way, you will have no problem if you have a normal vehicle

What they probably meant was recreational vehicles, not rentals. I've never had a problem with a rental.

Vistana is a lovely resort. We have owned there for almost 15 years. There is no problem parking in the lots in front of the villas. You can also pretty much walk to several pools from any given villa and the recreation areas. You may have to drive to the General Store or one of the restaurant but you can also walk to them. My DS (11yo) loves the game rooms and many of the kids/teen activities. You can always find chairs at the pools that time of year. Enjoy.

Except for the Fountains and Lakes units, you can walk to all pools, clubhouses, restaurants and General Store. The Fountains and Lakes section is set off from the rest of the resort. We did walk to that section, but it is a nice walk. Everything else is walking distance, park your rental car in front of your unit and you are on your way. Any questions, just e mail me.
