Hi guys,

I and my family are thinking of booking at vistana resort for our 3 week trip from the UK.Can anybody tell me if you are assigned a particular section depending on what day you arrive,if so could you advise which day/section to arrive on.I see from most threads that cascades seems to be the one to go for but which day would check-in be?

Many thanks
Sean.

p.s We will be booking a 2 bed unit.

Hi

We stayed in Vistana this April, we had one week at the Fountains and one at the Lakes. Lakes was newer but I believe Cascades are the newest apartments.

I do not think there are particular days for check-ins, it will depend on who is checking out of which apartment on that day.
You can certainly request the Cascades, tell them you would like a newer apartment, on which ever floor you prefer etc, I'm sure they will try to accommodate you.

I think they keep the newer apartments for people who are renting them and the older ones who exchange using their time-share weeks.

Good luck and have a great time. :p

Sean,

We own at Vistana, (Springs Area), - and there are specific days with regards areas.

The entire Spas section are mostly Friday check in. All Falls are Sunday. Other sections have some buildings for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

There is a common feeling that the Courts is the least 'desirable' area as they are the oldest units in the complex.
There is a constant upgrade/refurbishment programme - obviously areas like Cascades shouldn't need it - and the Courts are improving year on year.

Courts day is Saturday - so arrivals that day have a 'possibile' allocation there.

Request an area by all means - they should be accomodating.

Many thanks Brian,

My only other concern is the fact that we are going for 3 weeks and I really don't fancy having too change units every week, especially with 3yr old DS.
Do you think they would accomodate a request too stay in the same section for length of stay or do you think this is a big ask?
We will be travelling in November also, so would this be a less busy time at the resort?
Last year we stayed at Silver Lake Resort in November and it seemed quiet hence we were able too stay in the same unit all our 3 week stay but I do appreciate that SL is nowhere near as big as Vistana but I really like the look of Vistana and would rather stay somewhere different on each visit too Orlando.

Many thanks again

Sean.

Sean,

You should have no problems getting to stay in the same unit for the duration - it's better admin wise for them as well - impress that upon them on arrival and I can't see any problems.

This will be our third stay at Vistana - my wife and I each bought a week - and we have travelled with her sister and kids (6 & 9 this year) and her parents.

My father-in-law is blind, and the courtesy and assistance received all over Orlando make his trip even more enjoyable.

As for the parks - he goes on everything - from Space Mountain to the Incredible Hulk!! His 'worst' ride he says was "Duelling Dragons" !!

Ach well - just over 3 weeks and he can give it another go.

Brian

Thanks a lot Brian,

I hope you all have a really great time!!

Regards

Sean.:D
