We're staying at the Vistana and I'm looking for area restaurants. I remember a Burger King, Chik-a-fil and Pizzaria Uno. Any names of restaurants in that area would be appreciated. And the local stores. I shopped at a store and I forgot the name. You leave the Vistana and go left pass the downtown Disney street and it was on your right. Thanks for any input.

There are quite a few restaurants around the Vistana Resort. If you turn left out the resort, there is a Wendy's and Chik-fil-A, and Bennigan's on the right side of 535. On the left side of 535 there are more restaurants including Bahama Breeze, Landry's, and, I believe, an Outback steakhouse. You are also very near the Premium Outlet Mall which has a great Starbucks that is open early! If you continue down 535 towards I-4 you will come to the Crossroads area near the Downtown Disney hotels. Lots of restaurants in that area. One of our favorite local places is the Orlando Ale House. Good reasonably priced food and very family oriented.

As for grocery stores, you are very near a Publix (near the Premium Outlet mall off Vineland Ave) and there is a Winn Dixie past the Crossroad Center (on the right hand side of the road about 1/2 mile). Both are comparable to the grocery stores around here. The Publix is HUGE. Oh - and there's a decent sushi place around the corner from this Publix. The last trip we hit the Winn Dixie and they had good produce (much smaller store to navigate). Don't rule out Walgreens for some items. Check out their sales. You can pick up some great bargains on cereal and other grocery items!

Is Bennigan's the restaurant right on the left if you're leaving the Vistana's enterance?

There is a brand new Super Walmart on SR535 ~ turn right out of Vistana and is down past SR 536 on your right hand side. Across from the Buena Vista Outlets. The Outback Steakhouse, McDonald's, Quizno's, Subway etc. are on Vineland Ave across from the Premium Outlet (down near Dolly Parton's dinner show) It is an excellent area to be in. Only 4-5 minutes from downtown Disney and their great restaurants as well. have a great trip!

I heard about this recently...I'm glad you noted that it's past 536 so I don't think I've gone too far!

There is one in the area. Not sure. I ended up with strep throat last time and they gave my the choice of Walgreens or CVS.

There's a Macaroni Grill not too far down on SR535. I believe you make a left out of the resort onto 535 and it's down maybe 15 min on the left ?
As for seafood, not sure exactly, but I know Bahama Breeze serves some seafood dishes : http://www.bahamabreeze.com/index.asp
and this restaurant seems to have several fish dishes as well (though it's not a seafood restaurant per say) : http://www.seasons52.com/
And don't forget the 3 eateries Vistana has right on site (as well as the Pizza Hut) : http://www.starwoodvo.com/resorts/dining.jsp?resortID=5#1

Yep :flower: You could pretty much walk there !

Just be aware, if you go to the Bennigans near Vistana, during happy hour time, there could be a lot of college-aged CMs there, as that is literally right across the street from one of the apartment complexes that the WDW College Program interns live in.
