Vistana Resort and Skyauction ?

I'm thinking about trying this for a Skyauction priced trip. I wonder if anyone feels that their opinion of the Vistana Resort is skewed by the price they are paying for their stay. In other words, if you won this on Skyauction, would you feel this is truly a great resort? Or if you were paying the going rate per night, would you feel more inclined to critique your stay differently? I have read good and bad reviews on tripadvisor, and I'm wondering if some of the bad reviews are simply dissatisfaction from paying more for a stay as compared to a truly budget stay at the same resort.

Does this make any sense? I hope you understand my question, and I'll be eagerly waiting for any responses. Thanks!

most of the complaints that I have seem are about the older part of this resort - the newer ones just seem to have less complaints.

I skyauctioned this resort in Jan. and am doing it again next Jan. We were in the older section, and if I had been paying $169 a night I would have complained about a couple of things. Paying what I did, however, I felt I had made a quality choice. If that makes sense.

We stayed in the newer section when we were there in January, on a Skyauction that we won. We got an unbelievably good price of $350 per week. I'd pay nothing more than $100/night to stay at Vistana -- I thought it was nice but there were some problems. Minor problems, but enough that I could not justify over $100 night.
