Vistana Resort - 5 wonderful nights!

Just wanted to say that I just came back from a 5-day/4-night vacation at Disney and stayed at the Vistan Resort in the Fountains section and it was fabulous. There were 5 of us in the part (1 child, 3 adults) and we were to happy there. We had a 2 bedroom/2 bath villa with a screened patio and a jacuzzi in the master bath. The room was spotless, the ammeneties (dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, full kitchen, etc) were great and the housekeeper did a great job (she got a nice tip, too!) The location is great, too. Close enough to everything (5 minutes to WDW), but still quite enough to be comfy. We did go in any of the pools (would have defeated the purpose of the much needed turtlenecks and sweaters!) and we didn't eat at any of the restaurants to I really can't comment on those pieces. Our last trip we stayed at the Dolphin and we still liked Vistan better.

Our whole family agrees that Vistana is the ONLY place for us to stay when we are in Disney!

I also want to thank everyone who has posted information on this board about Vistana. I originally had reservations at Quality Suites Maingate, but decided to switch at the last minute because of the great reviews of Vistana. THANK YOU ...THANK YOU...THANK YOU!!!!

We were at Vistana Resort from 12/6/02 - 12/15/02. We were not as impressed with the resort as you were. We thought it was fine but we enjoyed Vistana Villages moreso than Vistana Resort. The only advantage we saw with VR over VV was the location to WDW...about 5 minutes closer. We stayed in the Cascades section.
