Vistana for Non-Smokers

Hello,
Vistana Resorts and Villages don't have non-smoking rooms anymore. Typically we stay in hotels with non-smoking rooms, what is the board's thoughts?

I know I am not looking forward to that when we stay there next year.

I am not sure how they get away with it - Florida has some good laws on non-smoking - maybe because it is not a hotel but a timeshare.

I wish them luck - DVC is changing to about 90 to 95% non-smoking in their resorts - so unless everyone who owns at Vistana smokes - I would think they would have alot of complaints.

Since people actually buy the units thru timeshare, they can smoke in them if they want, so they cannot guarantee a room has not been smoked in. We have stayed at the Vistana Villages several times and have never been bothered by smokey smelling rooms. If you happen to get a stinky room, ask to be moved. They are usually quite accomodating.

Both of our condos we got this summer reaked of cigarette smoke. It was terrible. We asked about non smoking rooms, they told us they did not have separate non smoking rooms, so we did not move since we had such a big party of vacationers to move (12 of us). We put up with the odor, but all three families won't go there again because of them not differentiating between smoking and non smoking and a few other problems we had when we were there.

Never once have I had any odor in any room at Vistana, and we've stayed there 2 or 3 times.

Just got back from Vistana Village no odour or cigarette smell in our apartment.
