Visitor Toll Pass is back at MCO

If we get one at MCO for our NASA day, will it automatically charge us on tolls we pass through on DME (assuming DME goes toll routes?). We are renting a car from the car care center for just one day mid trip.
Our portable transponder came in a special bag that prevents it from connecting to the receiving transponders on the toll gates (works like RFID blocking pouches for credit cards) when we're not using it. I'm not sure how the Visitor Toll Passes come but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort of blocking mechanism on their packaging.

During the set up steps in the app, I noticed it says "Hang your Visitor Toll Pass from your rental's rearview mirror prior to exiting the airport". Does anyone know if I can pickup the visitor toll pass when I arrive in MCO to use with a rental car that starts a few days later at another pickup location? The car rental will be returned at MCO.

According to the FAQ on the Visitor Toll Pass website, it only works with the 10 companies that have cars onsite at MCO and only if you rent from MCO.

The website says:
Your Visitor Toll Pass™ hangtag will be activated when you leave Orlando International Airport and drive under the electronic reader when exiting rental car parking deck.
So the answer apparently is no. But if you want a definitive answer, phone them.

Does anyone have any experience with the Visitor toll pass and Budget car rental? I have a sunpass portable toll reader and when I rented from Budget they billed me and the toll was also taken by sunpass. It was a mess to straighten out. Budget calls the tolls a different name than Sunpass did so I had to prove that I couldn't have gone through the same toll within minutes of each other in the same vehicle to get my money back from Budget and the fee that was charged by them because I hadn't used the toll pass that they offered.

Just trying to extend my rental car options for December from just Alamo or Dollar, which I never have any problems with my Sunpass toll reader.
If you have a SunPass, there's no reason to get a Visitor Toll Pass. The Visitor Toll Pass is just an E-Pass that you borrow.

I have one issue with VTP. I did not notice until to late that it is in only one terminal. So now my issue is this. I need to check my baggage and get boarding passes in terminal B, although the drop box is in Terminal A. How do I go about this???

this map is wrong? it shows drop box in both terminals .....

if you don't return it you simply get charged $10 . . .

FYI, I just used this for my trip to Disney...incredibly easy and I would 100% recommend. I even had a "problem"...I really didn't but thought I did. I wasn't sure it was working. I called and got someone right away who checked and assured me everything was working ok.

How hard is it to get to terminal A if you land in terminal B? Anyone know?
It’s not hard at all. After you get off your plane, you’ll follow the crowd to the airport train and ride it to the main terminal. You’ll arrive on level 3 on the B side, just need to walk across on that level to the A side. There really isn’t any separation, except for a bank of hotel elevators in the middle, and you’ll have to go past the security lines. Be aware that baggage claim is on level 2, so if you have checked luggage to pick up, you’ll have to go down one level on the B side, get your luggage, then go back up to level 3 again to cross over to the A side of the terminal.
