visiting with another party and fastpasses

From what I understand, even tho she is linked to your account but does not have a resort reservation then she can not book her fast passes 60 days out... And I know that sometimes CMs can give wrong info so the only way to find out is to buy the tickets and try if it lets you then great if not then, well there is your answer and she will just have to wait for 40 days and hope they have the same times and if not change yours to book all together.
As long as the onsite people include the offsite people when booking FPs, everyone shares the 60-day booking window.

And I understand that, I was giving what info I only know that's why I suggested to go ahead and try anyway because you never know...

If one person on the onsite reservation is grouped with all the offsite people when booking a FP, everyone selected shares the 60-day booking window.

This info is also in the FP FAQ and the SDFP FAQ. It's best not to call and ask CM's because they have highly restricted media for booking FPs and rarely stay onsite.

I read the FP FAQ, but since the CM told me "No", I wanted to make sure this info was still accurate.

That being said, does it matter WHO books the FP's? I have all my husband's off-site family added to *my* MDX account, SIL hasn't bought tix yet. She has the app, but she doesn't know how to use it yet, which is why *I* was going to link them and book the FP's for everyone as soon as she gave me her ticket numbers.
You said as long as 1 person is grouped with the offsite reservation - does this mean she HAS to add me to HER app?

What would be the very easiest:
List SIL and her complete family in your Family/Friends list.
Link tickets to everyone when they buy them.

Then, when your booking window opens, select FPs for the complete group. Your SIL won't have to do anything other than buy tickets before your 60-day window opens. You can purchase them through your MDE account and link them to each member of her party.

I did exactly this. I added all my friends to my own MDE account. When they got their tickets, I got the numbers and linked their tickets. Basically, I'm in control over the MDE account, and therefore the FPs.
