We'll be visiting WDW in October with our daughter, who will be 8/9 months old when we go. I already read about bringing a stroller fan but what else saved you on your visit with your infant?

We'll be there in October with DD 5 yrs and DS 8.5 months, so I am following :)

That's such a great age. we needed some familiar food, and extra pacis. Really, both of mind were so good at that age. They liked everything

Our DD was 3 months old when we went in May. I used a SSC (I have a Tula, similar to an ergo) a lot versus the stroller. You can wear baby on a lot of rides, so we didn't have to work around naps (which my DD slept a lot while we were there) which was nice! We also used frog togg cooling towels which helped a lot in the humidity/ heat. Our DD was obviously a lot younger than yours will be, but if you baby wear, I highly suggest taking your carrier with you. I used it a lot more than our stroller!)

Not baby related per se but I also have always taken a small soft sided cooler into the park full of water bottles (yes water is free there, but we always start with a few bottles because I need to drink a lot of water while standing for long periods of time). just kept it in the basketbunder our stroller

My tip: Throw all baby related things into the pack n play before you leave the room. The little things can get caught up in bedding and totally disappear ... there goes your favorite pacie or lovey.

We just got back with our 3 month old twins. Are you taking busses? For us, we had two strollers and two backpacks. One backpack was the standard diaper bag stuff. The other had the rain cover and fan and blanket. We used playtex drop in bottles even though we use Dr Browns at home for ease of cleaning.

How about a nanny? :-P

Seriously though, my biggest tip is ordering supplies from diapers.com (which has much more than diapers) and having it all sent directly to your resort a couple days before you get there. Makes packing so much easier to know all that junk will be there already.

When we took dd who was 11 mths at the time, most helpful items were stroller that reclined completely, light weight breathable blanket/fabric to drape over canopy and clip to tray for better shade, stroller fan, baby food in plastic containers instead of glass, playtex drop ins and single serving formula packets. We also ordered from Garden Grocer since we flew that trip.

If you're nursing, make sure you have extra snacks and water for YOU! Even October can be very very hot. If you don't have a rain cover for your stroller, GET ONE. It WILL rain and if it's a real downpour, a poncho clipped around the edges won't cut it. (Ask me how I know!) If you don't babywear, you'll want to! Since strollers can't go everywhere in WDW, baby will need to be held A LOT and arms get tired.

Thank you for all the suggestions!!! We were already thinking to bring our Ergo, so definitely glad to know baby wearing comes in handy while in WDW. I didn't even think of a rain cover for the stroller! I looooove the idea of the playtex drop in bottles (no clean up)!

Patience and appropriate expectations. :)

We brought our (then) 3 month old back in April. It was a fantastic trip and honestly he did such a great job, but we knew that the trip would be different from our previous ones with our older kids. We definitely slowed down our pace.

Our son spent time between his stroller (a City Mini) and the carrier (an Ergo).

We used the babycenters since I am nursing. They are a great place to get out of the heat and relax with little stimulation. I did have to nurse in some funny places (like on POTC) but if a babycenter was nearby, I went there, lol.

At least you'll have a memory that will last a lifetime! LOL!

We are going to be purchasing a nice(r) stroller than what we have now. Probably a city versa but I'm still so undecided. I loooooove my Ergo, so easy to use!

I already made a note about the baby centers. Right now, my daughter gets so distracted when she eats but she'll be a completely different person in 4 months so we'll see!
