On the last couple of trips DW has expressed an intrest in visiting some of the other Disney resorts.
So to save some time and wasted travel what are the best places to visit outside of FW?

We enjoy visiting the Beach Club. Usually try to eat at the Cape May Cafe for dinner. Afterwards you can walk right into Epcot via the World Showcase entrance. Nice to end the evening watching Illuminations in Epcot. Also the Boardwalk area is across the bridge..you might want to check that out as well.

We always resort hop when we visit, our favorite is WL. For all our visits to WDW we have yet to go to AKL. :confused3

I vote for WL, Poly, Contemporary, GF and AK Lodge. The first is right next door. The next three are a great monorail ride and AK Lodge is fun and interesting. They have CMs outside that come from some of the countries that the animals are from and they are very knowledgable and will talk to you not only about the animals, but their country. That's one of the things I like about WS at Epcot.

We have visited the ones sugested except AK Lodge. I was wondering about the All-Star Resorts or Pop Century. DW also wondered about the Swan & Dolphin Hotel.
We enjoyed the Boardwalk last year but since we were there durring the Great Disney Flood of 2009 it rained and most of the performers had to go in early.

All Star Sporta and Music are neat if you take the time to walk thru the courtyards and look at all the giant themed decorations/statues which IMO is worth a visit. Can't remember, but Pop might have something similiar.

There really isn't much unusual to see at the Swan and Dolphin.

When we are there over Xmas we try and visit all the resorts to look at the Xmas decorations. This last time we only missed the Boardwalk.

My choice would be to check out all the resorts you haven't seen yet with the All Stars and Pop on the last of that list.

I agree with Larry on the Swan and Dolphin.

My all time faves are the AKL and WL.

Picabu's at the Swan or Dolphin (can't remember which) is a great buffeteria if you are looking for something different to eat!!
