I'd like to start picking my ADR's but want to know how everyone plans their order of parks. We will be down there 4/17-4/23 and have a 5 day hopper pass. We arrive on a Monday afternoon so we were planning on waiting until Tuesday to start visiting the parks. Thursday afternoon we have plans the DS6 and DS4 to do the Pirate Cruise so I figured we can do a 1/2 at the parks that afternoon. Please let me know what you suggest. I have a feeling we will want to do MK for the 1/2 day on that Friday. I'm also thinking about doing the Magic Tour. We have not interest in the water parks so it would mainly be the 4 major parks (MK, Epcot, MGM and AK). Any advise would be wonderful.

Oh..we are renting a pool home and renting a car. I thought we would do mainly ADR's for lunches and then if need be go back to the house for a little bit and come back for the afternoon.

What do you think?

We usually base what days we do each park on the historical attendance:
(from allearsnet.com)

"During regular attendance periods, our parks tend to be the busiest on the following days:

* Magic Kingdom: Monday, Thursday, and Saturday
* Epcot: Tuesday and Friday
* Disney-MGM Studios: Sunday and Wednesday
* Disney's Animal Kingdom: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday"

and also which parks are doing Extra Magic Hours (esp. in the morning). You might want to avoid parks that are have Early Morning Hours since you're off-property and can't take advantage of it. Sometimes we do that, even when we're on property. hth.

I would agree with avoiding EMH since you cannot take advantage of it. Looking at EMH schedule, it looks like MK has EMH every morning, but only Friday evening, so I would AVOID MK on friday since it has both. I usually like to start and end my trip at MK, as it is the most magical for me. Based on the EMH schedule, and the busiest days at the parks, and on my own personal preference, I would probably do something like this.
I think this avoids all EMH (but I would double check in case I missed something), and it also avoids all of the parks busy days, with the exception being MK on a Saturday. But as I said before, that is my personal preference, to end my trip in front of the castle.

M4/17 arrive
T4/18 MK
W4/19 EPCOT
TH4/20MGM
F4/21 AK
S4/22 MK
SU4/23 leave

HTH you get started. Can you tell I BADLY NEED a trip to plan right now!! Oh, I wish I were going!

Staci...thank you so much for helping me!!! OMG..this is a great help. You can plan with me until you get a trip going for yourself!! :teeth:

Question...since we have the Pirate Cruise on Thursday 4/20 in the morning, do you think a half day at MGM is enough? I don't want to feel rushed to see everything.

Here's what I have down:

M4/17 - arrive: dinner at Chef Mickey
T4/18 - MK - lunch at Crystal Palace
W4/19 - Epcot - lunch at Electric Umbrella or Garden Grill
Th4/20 - Pirate Cruise/MGM - dinner at 50's diner or Sci Fi
F4/21 - AK - Pizzafari
S4/22 - MK
Su4/21 - home

What do you think?

Well, having gone 6 times, I still havent seen everything in all the parks, so there is NEVER enough time!! :lmao:

But if you find that you need more time at MGM, you have a whole day at AK on friday. AK closes at 8, but MGM doesnt close until 10. Really, as long as you get there in the am, you shouldnt need until 8 at AK. So if you are getting tired of AK, you could always leave by 5 and head to MGM to finish up. Park hoppers are wonderful for that.

MGM is open until 10 on Thursday too.
