We are staying at DLP, our 3rd visit and can’t wait for June. with my family staying 3 night 4 days at the disneyland hotel

We would like to travel to Paris from Marne-la-Vallee for a day for a spot of sightseeing.

The only problem is I am disabled, but have the use of an electric wheelchair, so I am unable use the Metro or public transport. We would like to visit Cathedrale de Notre-dame, La Tour Eiffel and Arc de Triomphe has anyone has on the board done this or would know how long it would take to do.

thanks everyone

Have you looked through the Disney brochure as they do sightseeing trips on a coach that might be of use to you. The night one says a visit too the landmarks lit up, and there a couple of day visits too that board at the Hotel New York (or one of hotels but can't remember off hand).

They don't indicate if they have stopping time to get out etc, and i'm not sure if your chair would fit under the carriage if they do for you my dear but maybe it's worth checking out??

I'm sure there's a way for you to see the sites, I think it's just a case of someone who's been there/done that needs to give a shout :-)

Good luck x

hi there

if your meaning "under carriage" as in the luggage hold area of a coach.. this is an elecric wheelchair, that does not fold and a specialised chair,

to explain more heres a pic of the actual wheelchair i am in , yes we have been through the brouchure but again its the issue of the transport, as i am in a permenat wheelchair, so unless a coach has a lift or ramp to carry a wheelchair and to strap it down we cant do it, surely its got to possible???

I sympathise with you :grouphug: my late father-in-law found the same. When he was in a fold-up wheelchair it was absolutely no problem to go in taxis but once he changed to an electric one he found it so difficult to arrange transport. Consequently my brother and sister-in-law have just had one of their taxis converted to take electric wheelchairs and are being recommended to customers by other firms. I'd suggest you contact the shuttle services listed in The Very Useful Info sticky and hopefully one of them will be able to recommend a firm who can accommodate your chair.

Good luck and please let us know how you get on. :goodvibes

Another thought

The staff at the Tourist Office at DLRP are very helpful. Failing that you can't organise anything in advance perhaps they will be able to help?
