Visiting other resorts

Well, if there are extra rooms available at the Grand Floridian, why shouldn't I be able to stay in one? I'm not hurting anybody. If I can swim in a pool at a resort I'm not paying to stay at if it's not bothering anyone, why can't I sleep in a room of a resort I'm not paying to stay at if it's not bothering anyone?

I still don't see your point. Are you saying that you would not accept a free upgrade to concierge if offered one? I'm not sure if you are aware, but people are offered free upgrades all the time.

But if I had a friend who was staying at those hotels, I could visit them for the day, hang out in their room, watch the fireworks from the beach etc.

Don't you think that would be acceptable?

Again, since we seem to have lost out way. I'm not advocating blatantly going to a resort and swimming in their pool. The thread is about visiting a friend at another resort.

There is a bit of a difference to me between pool hopping and visiting someone staying at a different resort and swimming at the pool together. I don't think that these rules were put into place because of situations like this. I would think a couple getting a room, and then bussing in a family reunion from off-property would be a bigger factor. Since the max. occupancy of the rooms is 4 and there are two couples, you could put down 4 in each of your rooms, and then you would legally be allowed to swim in both pools, and you wouldn't be breaking any rules.

This thread has gotten way more...hostile then I ever intended. I asked a sincere question, got several helpful suggestions, and have decided to ask Disney when I get there. Please don't turn this thread into something it wasn't meant to be - a heated debate that has gotten to the point of over exaggerations that aren't really related to my original question. (No offense anyone) Can't we all just get along? :)

LOL. Yes, I think we can.

Actually I think this thread has ended quite well. (Take a look at the other pool thread, I think that one is more hostile)

I think at least jovidan and I ended up on at least close to the same page on this.

Have a good time. Ask and tell us what happens.
