Hello All ~ I understand that "pool hopping" is not allowed. However, while dining and shopping at the a resort, can we sit by the pool afterwards? And are there washrooms near the pools? And what if all my clothes fell off exposing my bathing suit while in the washroom? And maybe I tripped and fell into the swimming pool of a resort that I am not staying at? I understand that SAB has pool-police, but what about the POLY, AK and other resort pools? Thanks! Sandra

No pool cops at Wilderness Lodge. We just went out and used the pool, no questions asked (we were guests though).

When we stayed in Fort Wilderness Cabins, we visited WL for...maybe 45 minutes. The younger kids had a blast, but the oldest (13?) was literally sick because we were doing something that we shouldn't. We left and headed back to FW. BTW, the same youngster thought that Disney police would come and get us when we (all 7 of us) used the "maximum 5" golf carts. ;) Good thing he didn't know that my 3 year old wasn't 3 yet, according to the reservation. :rolleyes1

Oh, he's 21 now, and doing something that he shouldn't doesn't bother him anymore! :sunny:

My understanding is that the level of policing has to do with the time of year. When it's busy there are people checking, when it's slow there aren't.

Not to flame you (well I guess I am but it isn't meant personally and it's more about this issue in general) but in the end it's a question of personal ethics. If you're willing to ignore the rules why are you looking for the justification to do it here? It would annoy me to no end if I couldn't enjoy the pool at the resort I'm staying at because people not staying at the resort have filled it up.

If you are a DVC owner pool hopping is a privilege however if you are hopping you have to be prepared to vacate if the pool is to capacity so that it can accomodate guests at that location first. They reserve the right to restrict hopping at certain pools during certain times of the year. At SSR last year D and I where the only ones in the pools (main and quiet) ever. Use your discretion I guess? :confused3

Why don't you just book yourself at the resort that has the pool you want to swim in as opposed to breaking the rules, policed or not :confused3

Why would you want to get flamed on both the Resort Board and this board??? :stir:

:rotfl: :rotfl: Hey, a pool-hopping thread on the Cdn board ! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have I done this ... Yep (a few years ago). Would I do it again now ... Nope. After seeing how difficult it often is to get deck chairs at my own resort, I wouldn't want to be the cause of a similar problem at another resort. Just MHO. Well, that and that it's too much trouble to do it. Do I care if you want to do it, and you do it ... Nope. No flames here. But if you don't want to get caught, be sure to take refillable mugs from the resort you're visiting so that you'll look like you belong there :lmao:

If you're planning on "losing your clothes", make sure you really DO have on a bathing suit underneath! ;)

Oh, yeah! I forgot to add that that was the first and only time that we have pool-hopped. We wouldn't do it again, because we now realize (thank you DIS moralists :thumbsup2 ) how wrong we were. But like Mary Liz, if you do, I don't care. And Sandra? You don't need pool police....you got DIS RESORT BOARD police! Who, hopefully, will remain right where they belong, 'cause they don't get your Canadian humour! :rotfl:

:lmao: My guess is that we won't have time to pool hop. I was just thinking about it if we planned on visiting other resorts in our bathing suits. :lmao:
