Visiting DTD BuildABear?

If you're planning a visit to BAB in DTD, and you're arriving at John Wayne Airport in OC, there's a visitors' kiosk near baggage claim with a variety of free magazines. One of the magazines (there's a Disney photo on the cover) about the sights in OC has a discount coupon for BAB. I think it was $5 off $25 purchase. HTH someone!

What should I expect to spend on a BAB? DS (age 5) wants to go and do it and I don't want to go overboard but at the same time I don't want him to have a naked bear! Is there something like where you can dress it in a DL tee and some mouse ears? I saw a few costumes on the website but DS likes the clothes better.

Using the website is a good tool to try and figue how much creating an animal would costs. We tend to average anywhere from $35-$50 an animal. My kids tend to get an outfit as well as a voicebox in addition to their stiffed animals. The first few stuffed animals from BAB even got shoes, but they kept falling off and it just wasn't as huggable with hard shoes on, so we haven't bought shoes in a while.

If you have a local BAB, stop by. They are running a game piece promo and you cna win lost of different prizes. We stopped by yesterday just window shopping and dd saw a High school musical t-shirt $6. At the checkout counter were individual game pieces. Dd won a cali bracelet and charm and ds won a free animal. He's saving his free animal certificate to use at downtown disney for our next trip in Oct.

These pointers are great. Thanks! I purchased some $5 dollar off coupons on ebay for $2 and that included shipping. I plan to purchase two different bears at the end of Sept.
