Hello all! I am hoping to visit Paris for the first time in August and if so will be visiting DLP. We will only have a few days and want to make the most of it. I am wondering if I can get some suggestions on what not to miss? We will have 1 1/2 or 2 days at DLP so I know we cant see everything. A few questions

How big is are the parks compared to the US parks?

How crowded will it be the end of August on weekdays?

What is Disney Village and is it worth visiting since I have such limited time?

They have a kind of fast pass program that cost extra there right? What is the cost and how does it work?

Should I book now or wait?

I am thinking about staying at Prestige Val d'Europe Review for one night, if I do can I use the Extra Magic Hours?

I cant think of anything else now, but any advice is appreciated! TYIA

I went late August last year - for 2 days and fit everything in (that we wanted to do)

I can not answer this as I have not been to the US parks

We expected queues as it is a theme park and even more for Disney, but it was quite quiet compared to what we read

The Disney Village is a place for dining, shopping and leisure. When we went we decided to do all of our shopping there so it is all in one place and not a bit here then something else to carry over there. The different dining options are more third party than Disney with the likes of McDonalds, Planet Hollywood etc. But there is a cinema and a great Dinner-Show by Disney - Buffalo Bills (very recommended from when I went :thumbsup2) TIP: Visit on an evening when you have finished in the parks ;)

I don't know about cost but I know it is free when staying in the Disney Hotels - otherwise I cannot tell you. How it is SUPPOSED to work is you enter a 'virtual queue' where you get a time to come back to the ride allowing you to spend that gap shopping, dining, or on other rides. But when I went (and it was my first time) the queues where longer for this than the ride (particularly Big Thunder Mountain)

Should I book now or wait?
NOW! 30% discount until 31st January for early bookers

I do not believe so but someone will have to confirm this

Plan it well, not military but just so you know where to go and you know your priorities of which shows and rides etc you MUST do and get them done. AND enjoy yourself :goodvibes

Hope this helps

There are only 2 parks which are a few minutes apart (like DL if you have been there) Its not like DW where you need to get transport from one to the other. The Studios are smaller than the main park but there are some new rides just opened there. There are also some good shows there. The main DL park is actually bigger than MK and has lots of unique rides and attractions

How crowded will it be the end of August on weekdays?

August is a busy month but the parks should be open late - til about 11 unless you are going the very last few days then the hours may be shorter

Its like Down Town Disney

They have the normal FP system as in the US parks (for all guests not just DL hotel guests) but they also had (and may still have) a VIP FP that could be bought . I cant remember how much it was but it was expensive- perhaps £100 per person per day - this enabled you to go on any of the FP rides as often as you wanted without having to get FP tickets
Should I book now or wait?

I found where I read it Hotel l'Elysée Val d'Europe is the hotel I meant. I am booking through Disney.

You can enjoy up to 2 extra hours in part of Disneyland® Park and/or Walt Disney Studios Park before regular park opening.
Go to the main gates of Disneyland Park and/or Walt Disney Studios Park with your valid regular park ticket and your Disney Hotel Easy Pass.*

*For those staying at the Hotel l'Elysée Val d'Europe, your room key or your shuttle access card will be sufficient. This offer is reserved for those staying at Disney Hotels or the Hotel l'Elysée Val d'Europe having booked a package that includes entry tickets for Disney Parks, and to holders of the Dream Annual Pass.

Compared to the US parks it is a lot smaller. It is definitely doable in 2 days. We went to both parks in one day.

I wouldn't recommend this.

Much of the majic of DLP is in the detail, so don't rush around whatever you do.

I think 3 full days is a little more realistic
