We will be driving over from Vegas on Wednesday, early, and hitting the parks all day. Two adults. We are hoping to arrive close to park open at 9am, parking/staying at the Fairfield Marriott so a quick walk over. We will have our tickets/MaxPasses purchased in advanced. I know DCA has EMH, so I’m trying to figure out the best plan of attack and how to optimize use of the MaxPass system. We plan to take a break at our hotel in the afternoon, and return to close out the parks. My friend who’s joining me hasn’t been in over 5 years so pretty much wants to see/do as much as we can.

Any tips on a good plan, bearing in mind we may not make it inside until 9:30 or so? Where do we start, which FPs should we go for first, which should we try to stack for the evening? Any help appreciated!!

Just a fair warning there could be a long long line for security at that time in the morning on harbor. I would try to get there as early as you can. I recommend grabbing FPs for RSR and TSM early since those run out the fastest in DCA. For DL it would be space and Haunted mansion holiday.

Honestly, I would recommend planning to arrive at Fairfield Marriott no later than 8am. This allows for checking in, walking over, and Harbor security. Hit DL first.

Since you're just doing the one day, I would also recommend not taking the mid day break so you can see/do as much as possible.

Yes we are currently aiming to arrive at 8am to allow for parking and walking over.

The mid day break will be very necessary or we won’t last the entire evening lol so we are okay if it means missing two hours of the parks. It will be a much needed recharge.

Thanks for the note to start at DL. Wasn’t sure which park would be best to begin with.

Be sure to get some good sleep the night before you leave Vegas. That's at least a 5 hour drive, so you'll be heading out around 4 am. That's going to be a long day.

What about doing a table service restaurant and maybe a show as your mid-day break? That would get you off your feet and then you wouldn't have to walk back to the hotel and then go through security (etc) again.
