Visa prepay for gas

Does anyone know if any of the service stations will let us Canadians use our Visa at the pump instead of one of us going in to prepay?

We drive from southern Ontario to WDW every year and I have been able to use my VISA to pay at the pumps in NY, PA, WV, NC and SC. I am also able to use it at some stations in the northern part of GA but not many. We usually stick to Shell or Sunoco. The closer you get to Florida, you will not be able to use your credit card. I inquired about this and was advised that GA & FL have high credit card thefts and that is why they make you enter your zip code that is tied to the credit card at the pump.

Another tip if you plan to use your VISA at the pumps is to advise your credit card company in advance because the first time we drove, VISA put a hold on my credit card and luckily my brother was checking on our home when VISA called to verify it was me making the charges because they were, as they called it, out of the ordinary, for me. My brother immediately contacted us and I called VISA to get our card "released".
