Well today i have booked our virgin flights for next may...hooray. Now seems real that we will be going back!!

All of us have machine readable passports but mine expires in june 06 and DD this october. Obviously these will be renewed but my confusion and question is will we need a visa also or is the viva waiver thing still in place?? I have been a regular goody two shoes with no criminal record or speeding tickets!! :rotfl:

Would be gratefull for any advice or links to relevant sites...Thankyouxx

As long as you apply for both new passports before October 2005 you will be able to enter the USA on the waiver program using just machine readable passports.

After October 2005 all new passports will need to have biometric passports (the deadline for these biometric passports was put back a year from 2004 due to coutries not being able to introduce them in time).

will you be in trouble if you have been caught by speed cameras,i hope not would someone please let me know if that counts as a criminal record and wether i would need a visa thanks :cool1:

Wesky speeding offences are fine :) (well as far as US immigration is concerned!!) It is only crimes of "moral turpitude" which mean you need a visa. Don;t ask me what these are, I just know speeding isn't one of them.

Rachael! Hooray to your new trip :)
