Hi Everyone...

Just a quick question about how the charges work when you use your Key to the World.

How does it work? Does it just accrue all the charges for the duration of my stay and then at the end I would settle up with them by charging it to my credit card? Or is each purchase charged to my credit card when it happens?

I'm leaving in 4 days so any help would be greatly appreciated.

The charges that you made with your KTTW will be charged to the credit card you use when checking in. You can the day or night before you leave pay it off by cash by going to the front desk or you can leave the charges on & it will be charged to your credit card. I hope this make sense. Also depend on what resort you are staying at on how much credit Disney allows on your KTTW. Deluxes limit is $1500 while I believe could be wrong is $500 are for the moderates not sure about the values . We normally stay at the deluxe resorts or with friends we have down there. Here is what happens.

Each resort has a limit.

Value $500

Moderate - $1000

Deluxe - $1500

When you add charging to your room key, it is charged to the room and adds up. If your trip ends before you bump up on your limit, then you have one charge to your credit card at the end of your trip.

If you get to your limit before the end of your trip, then your room key will be disallowed until you call the front desk and authorize them to charge your credit card, then the limit starts all over again.

If you put your card on your key for room charging and you want it left on your credit card, do nothing, it will be done automatically at checkout. If you want to pay some of your room charge with another card, cash, Disney Dollars, etc, then you need to drop by the front desk THE DAY BEFORE checkout and pay your account with the alternate money. Your room account is usually closed out between 3 and 4am the morning you check out, so that your finalized bill can be placed on your door about 6am the morning you check out.

Everything is charged at the end of your visit. The husband handles the bills but I believe that it'll come through your credit card bill as one total sum. So you aren't going to see the pizza from room service one day and then the T shorts you bought at Mouse Gear the next day and then the lunch you had a LeCellier the next day. All those will be added together.

The chance to dispute anything comes from your checkout printout. That will list all your individual purchases.
