Virtual Tours/Thoughts on hotels??

Just booked Port Orleans-Riverside for September 17-21 and Animal Kingdom Lodge for December 10-14. Can you please tell me your thoughts on these hotels. Is there a place that I can see pictures or virtual tours of the resorts?? Any advice on getting around on Disney transportation? We'll be driving down but want to stay as immersed in Disney as possible this trip.

Just returned from a stay at AKL (third time staying there). It is a wonderful resort, beautifully themed, with wonderful amenities. It remains one of my favorite resorts at WDW.

All transportation from AKL to the parks and water parks is via Disney buses. Not quite as magical as the monorails or ferries available from some of the other Deluxe resorts (and no Disney park, even AK, is withing walking distance of AKL), but the buses get the job done. AKL does not share bus service with any other resort, so the buses come frequently and then take one directly to and from the resort. Service is generally very good.

Hi Lynn,
One of our favorite resorts is POR..its so serene. The grounds are beautiful, the cms are out of this world, the boat ride to DTD is wonderful and boatrights restaurant has awesome breakfast. The link that CJStarr provided has some great pics. You can also check out the links on Dis (http://www.wdwinfo.com/pictures.htm ) look on the right side where it says resorts, there are some great pic there as well.
I havent stayed at the AKL yet but I have gone there to visit for breakfast & dinner. Its definatly going to be a stay in the future.
