Mickee......the verandah on 8600 is quite a bit smaller, still very nice compared to a Cat 4, though....and it does have one corner of privacy. The room is layed out just a bit differently, as the room is rather pie-shaped, and the bedroom "bumps" out to the side. The one thing that you need to remember is that there is only a queen size bed in the bedroom which can't be separated into twins, and the double fold-out couch bed. No pull-down ceiling or wall bed. So if you need to sleep four people, they'll have to share the beds. My son and daughter didn't want to share the couch, so we brought an air mattress for him, and he slept on the floor. Our room steward was such a sweetie....he put sheets and a blanket on the air mattress, and "made" that bed every day!
