Hi! We stayed at a deluxe resort so we had access to EPCOT extended evening hours, and the additional Guardians of the Galaxy virtual queue. Myself, my husband and my two sons were the registered hotel guests, but my sons entered the park using Guest Passes. Since the Guest Passes weren't registered as deluxe hotel guests, they were unable to enter the virtual queue for the extended hours. HOWEVER, my husband and I did enter the extended hours virtual queue and were surprised to find the Guest Passes were also able to scan in when our boarding group was called (despite being unregistered). Just a heads up.

This is very interesting! We’ve had this issue and were told by cast to ask guest services at the parks to manually add on the guest passes to our virtual queue reservation. Even easier if we can simply scan in! I wonder if this is by design.

This is interesting because we were told we could not do extended hours using guest passes. It is often just one person in our group of 4 who is on a guest pass (my son, as me and my husband are on MEP and my friend has an AP). Thanks for this information!

This is very interesting because we had a similar experience entering Epcot for extended hours on our last trip. We’ve never had a problem accessing them with my guest passes before and we have entered using guest passes a number of times. A cast member at Epcot said that we couldn’t enter with guest passes and I advised that we had always been able to before. She spoke with a more senior colleague who advised that guest passes were indeed valid for extended hours. I think possibly the issue was that we were entering just after 9:00pm when the park had already closed to the public and the guest passes aren’t linked to a resort reservation. It’s never been an issue for us otherwise though.

Also, as an FYI, when in the parks for extended hours, you need to scan in at the rides to prove you’re eligible. My family members scanned in using their MagicBands with the qualifying linked resort reservation. It didn’t matter that no park admission was linked to their accounts (as they had entered with my guest passes).

oh I never thought of my son using one of his magic bands during after hours vs the guest pass. He never wears a magic band, I just use the cards. But he does have some, so I will bring one next trip. TY!
