Oh, my first post! Okay, I haven't been to Orlando in a few years, and while I was able to find things like the themed dinners, I couldn't find any information on the character breakfasts that Virgin used to run. We used to stay on I-Drive, and would go to MGM for them, get early entry to the park and go straight on Tower of Terror literally just after we finished the last bit on our plates! Well, basically, I just wanted to know if you were still able to book that type of thing? Perhaps, you can only book when you get there now, like at the welcome meetings, rathen than in advanced? Any info would be gratefully received!

Disney stopped doing character breakfasts at MGM, but they have recently restarted with one aimed at the pre school children, I think it has JoJo and the little Einsteins. However, I am not sure ifvirgin offer it.

If you have a car you would be better looking at driving to one of the resort hotels and booking one for yourself, much cheaper $18.99 eat plus tax and gratuity. If ypu use hotel transport then you can still book a later breakfast and use disney tranport from the park to get there.

A useful site is www.allearsnet.com look on dining and it will tell you all about character meals.

welcome to the boards, for menus ect check out www.allearsnet.com for resturant menus and prices.to book you can phone disney direct havent got number to hand someone can post it.You dont have to use uk TA to book them as they will put there mark up on top

Wow, thanks for the quick responses.

Shame, I used to love going to them, even if I am older enough to be taking my own kids (if I had any!). Okay, so another question, would booking a breakfast at a Disney hotel still work if you're not staying at WDW, or can you only do so if you are a WDW guest?

Anyone can book. Look at the allearsnet.com web site and go to the link for dinning, it will tell you about the meals and the restruants it includes proces and menus. Then to book you call disney dinning, the tel no is 001 407 939 3463 (001 407 WDW DINE)

Hi and Welcome to the DIS

I *think* even though you are staying off-site you can still book a character breakfast in the park on EMH day's before the park opens to regular guests, can anyone confirm this?? On day's when the park opens at 9am they start taking ADR's from 8- 8.10am.

Have a look at the DIning information here on the DIS :)

You can book any character meal (and lots of other park and hotel restaurants besides) without being a Disney hotel guest, or staying onsite if you prefer. If you book a meal that is in a park however, you are required to have tickets to enter that park first. A reservation for a meal on its own is not an entitlement to enter the park. Hope this helps. :thumbsup2
