Virginia Tech shootings.

These shootings are both enraging and tear-producing... the other night I was reading People, and they had a huge section all about it. They showed pics of victims and stories about what they wanted to do with their futures. I cried for a long time. I guess it was seeing the pics of people who actually died and the thought of them never getting to live their dreams that made me so sad. Especially the professor who saved his entire class by blocking the door so the students could escape before the shooter got to them. He survived the Holocaust to die because of some psychopath!!

Is it horrible that I'm actually semi tired of hearing about VTech?

So many other threats and shootings have happened in the past week. The man shot in NASA didn't get an article in a national magazine. Was his life any less important than a bunch of students? No. But I know several of their names. I don't know his name.

Personally, I think the media needs to let go. Its not news anymore, and I think its better for the friends and family to just quietly grieve, without America watching them.

I mean, I was sad. For a week. Then. Everyone just couldn't let the poor families alone.
I agree. It's sad how tabloids and news can't find something else to write about.
