can anybody tell me if you can find out what the flight will have onboard???i know you can see what films are on but......is there anyway to know if it will have the games thing on there. my son gets very bord on long flights. any info helpful.

Well, they change the films at regular intervals but the latest movies on flights to the USA can be seen here. And the current December movie list can be found here.


As for the game systems, I've found them a bit hit and miss. As they get used so much some of the controllers are virtually useless (buttons don't work etc) which makes it very frustrating when trying to play a game. We got caught out by that last time and out boys got stroppy that they were losing due to "the dumb controls making me lose" scenario. On a 9 hour flight you need things to be as easy as possible with kids!. With this in mind we've bought them all Nintendo Gameboy SP's for the trip. Small, light and should keep them happy if the onboard stuff doesn't work as well as when it was first installed.

You cant beat the seatback TV sets - even when I've flown on Virgin and the handsets have been terrible I was quite happy because it just meant it took me 2 hours to play a game of chess
