HI,

going on our first trip on 10th April 2005. With parents and 6yr old son. opted for a Virgin 3 bed Villa. anybody had any experience and is it worth paying for the pool to be heated this time of year?

Over excited grown up child at heart :jumping4: :goodvibes  :hyper:

Just giving this a BUMP for you :) to see if anyone can help!

Welcomt to the DIS

Virgin Villas are just off the US 27 (west end of the 192) which is a bit of a way out, espeically for Universal & Iof A. However, we stayed there with parents and children (through Virgin) last year and the villa was really nice. We had a problem with noisy neighbours but they have a "silence curfew" type thingy (!!) after 10.00 so if you get this problem phone the Sherriff's office - you are told to do this by the managing agent and it does work. I'm sure you won't have that problem though.

I think you're doing the right thing booking it through Virgin as it's your first trip but you might find that if/when you go again you'll want to book it yourself so you know your exact location and maybe get a house a little closer to the action. Realistically, it's probably about 25-30 minute drive to WDW from the US27 and about 40-50 minutes to Universal.

As for the pool - we didn't need it heated in May but wouldn't like to say about April.

Thanks for the info. thought there might be more than a 25 minute drive but my Dad is driving so I can Nap :D .still glad we got a villa couldn't spend 2 weeks with the family in enclosed space without going mad. :guilty: and i even got my countdown timer to work :Pinkbounc
