virgin villas ?

hi, my friend is going to orlando for the first time next week, he and his family are staying in a villa booked through virgin holidays, can anyone please answer some questions he has as we have never stayed in a villa so cant help him this time, first do virgins villas have barbecues in them, also he has never been before and was wondering if there are leaflets or park maps in the villas, we know that hotels have park maps ect in them but didnt know about the villas, hope this all makes sense!! thanks in advance for any help susie

Stayed in Virgin villas last October and November 2000, we didn't have a bbq the first time but there was one there last year but it was very...basic and a bit rusty. Head to Publix or Walmart and they're bound to be very cheap.
With regard to the leaflets we sent off for them to the Orlando Tourist Board but they were a bit out of date. We didn't have any in the villa but I would presume this depends on the owner. Best bet is to buy the Brits Guide its second to none for info and if Simon is reading, yes I do accept commission...hee hee

the bbq is up to the owners but if there is one make sure you take it outside of the pool area before you use it.The people in the house before your friends may have left maps but like wise the cleaners may well have thrown them out.You can download maps of the parks from the disney site.When I send out my info to my guests I enclose copies of the park maps that I bring back with me and the free orlando ones you get everywhere plus a copy of the 192 map .

thanks for your replys, i think i will tell him not to bother with the bbq, he can be quite accident prone so its best if he eats out!!. its been funny trying to prepair him for this holiday, he is our travel agent but he hasnt got a clue what to expect, i have already bought his mnsshp tickets for him as he didnt know any thing about it, i have passed on advice about simons book he is going to buy it tommorow and spend the rest of the week swotting up, and having searched the house have found him some of our old park maps, he said to say thanks for all your help and if you are there in the next two weeks and see a large family looking very lost and bewildered that will be them thanks again susie

If he's got access to the internet he can (or you can) download most of the park maps from the official web site.

www.orlando-maps.info has a brilliant map of the Hwy192 showing all the shops, all the Disney exits, and pretty good maps of all the rental home locations.
