Virgin River

I don’t like that they resolve a crisis so fast in some situations. Like, jack gets shot, then in the next scene, all is back to normal. Preacher gets poisoned, same thing. Crazy.

It is a little ridiculous LOL!!! Like Mel is always around when a medical emergency happens.

Baby about to come out while clueless dr. is alone at clinic? Surprise! Mel opens the door and takes over just as pushing commences.

Pilot has heart attack? Mel is sitting right behind him!

Old man with dementia passes out at grocery store? Mel just happens to be walking by him!

And I'm only on episode 4 😂

Right!

And I forgot you mention hope. TBI and she’s sent home from the hospital. Then they want to put her in a facility weeks later.

I can't stop laughing at all of these.

That made me 😂. I love doc and Muriel together. I think that relationship is so sweet, she loves to cook, he loves to eat, they play backgammon, drink wine, laugh, sit on the porch.........That is what I want at that age!
Yes! I am 100% team Doc and Muriel. Team MOC!

As a twin mom, I swear if I hear “the twins” one more time I’m going to scream.
Twin mom here and I totally agree! I get annoyed when my boys are called “the twins,” so hearing it over and over and over again gets under my skin.

Charmaine only 5 months pregnant?? I really don’t remember when she became pregnant, but wasn’t she pregnant for all of season 3 as well as all of this season???! And she has a pretty small bump for 5 months with twins. I know we all show differently, so some twin pregnancies can have fairly small bumps, but I don’t think that’s the norm. Sure wasn’t for me! I was super happy when she said Jack wasn’t the dad, but hope she just had IVF and Brady, or any other character, isn’t really the father. I hate when storylines mess with paternity. All I can think about is the baby and all they’d have to deal with if whatever created storyline was true.

The timelines with this show are weird. Like, Hope is gone for weeks and weeks, then is in the hospital for weeks and weeks, yet Charmaine is still just five months pregnant. Time has stood still for one, and is going quickly for another.

Someone else alluded to this, and it drives me nuts too . . . something big happens, then in the next episode everything is normal. I’ve gone back entire episodes, convinced I missed something, but I didn’t. It’s so weird how the writers do that again and again.

I don’t like the drug running story line either. I’m starting to really like Brady. He’s showing a softer, more vulnerable side and I want him and Brie to just be able to be happy.

So many of the posts in this thread point out annoyances or negatives with this show, yet all of us are watching! 😂🤣 I know I was excited when I saw the new season was released!

For whatever reason, I love this show and will look forward to season 5!

So true! I think it's because it is so corny and hokey at times, but yet sweet. I think I love the sense of community and everyone in the town pulling together. Everyone knows everyone and there is a gentleness and comfort about that, like a throwback to a different time. Ladies knitting at the local restaurant, old and young getting along, everyone looking out for each other, local festivals etc. It's sweet.

Yes, it's like comfort food in the form of a tv show.

Still haven't finished the last two episodes, but there's this weekend....
  • Denny- why is this town lacking common sense? If someone arrives out of the blue claiming to be a long lost relative, you do a background check on them. You protect yourself. It seems like his intentions were good, but really, be cautious. There must be a lot of *product* that has leaked into the ground water here that reduces their common sense.
  • Charmaine- She's been pregnant for far too many seasons. And only at 5 months too. Sheesh. But we knew from the get go that there was something fishy about her pregnancy. And Todd too. I have only read about what's to come, but did he ask her for a divorce already, or is that what she thinks? They've only bene married for what, a month?
  • Bre and Brady- the guys bad news. Sure he's trying to clean up his act, but honey he's not going to walk away from the drug/drug money. Time for her to make a better choice for both her and her career and leave him.
  • Preacher- I enjoyed him with the martial arts instructor. She's nice and interested in him. I kept trying to figure out if she was hiding something? Guess not, at least that I've seen. But then Paige returns and complicates things.
  • Mel and Jack- We know that they're end game...
  • Mel- she should just don a cape and go by the name Super Mel for always being in the right place at the right time. Her MIL is a real piece of work. Not only in the facial plastic surgery which I couldn't get past, but need for Mark and Mel's embryos.
  • Cameron- dude, don't hit on people you work with. In the books he meets someone else, so let's hope that happens. We don't need a Mel and Cameron affair.
  • Doc and Hope- I like it when they show love for each other, but her attitude is tiring. I do enjoy Doc and Muriel, but only if Hope is gone.
  • Jack- drug money investments from Nick. Let's hope this this doesn't come back to bite him. I know that drugs are big up there, but can it not infiltrate more storylines.

I know! He shows up and its like:

Denny. "Hi ! I'm your long lost grandson from a son you did not know existed!"

Doc- "Really? Wow that's fantastic! Let's be besties! Move in with me!"

Denny- "Yeah! sounds great!

I was thinking Cameron snd Tara might be a nice couple.

Just finished season 4 yesterday. Omg, the ending!!

I still have one episode to go. could someone fill me in on the Paige drama? Here is what I remember:

Paige was hiding out from her ex and she flew under the radar while in VR because she was hiding.
Ex found her and attacked her in her home and she killed him accidentally
she got Preacher involved and he hid the body? I think?
She ran away but somehow the Ex's twin took her child?
Where did Paige go?

I'm kind of confused.
