Virgin always release their holidays earlier, I'm not sure quite why but it could be because they have their own scheduled airline and can plan forward easier. Sometimes Travel City Direct release theirs early too because they are part of the Virgin group.

The rest seem to put their new brochures and release their holidays around April. It's worth waiting to see what all of the different offerings are! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

thanks Im too impatience

that was me too when the 2012 brochure came out in 2011! I did end up booking and tbh it only came out approx £100 over the top of what I could have done it for DIY (flying direct)..but I could have saved a lot more if I'd gone indirect and waited a bit longer..But I was happy with that price and that's what matters..

Always good to have something fab to look forward:goodvibes

We booked in August 2011 for September 2012 with Thomson. I'm keeping an eye on their prices too and waiting for our dates to come out, it's going to be a while yet though.

Cosmos are apparently coming out in June.

We also want to book for 2014 and with it being our first trip are desperate to get something book ASAP but are hoping that some better deals come out than the Virgin prices as they are a lot more than the May 2011 prices.

we'll be in OZ when the deals come out end march/start of April. May have to spend a little bit of my holiday booking another one :rotfl2:

I have to say I've never booked more than 4-5 months ahead in the past so things not used to booking things so far ahead. We've gone to Fl most summers and feel we've always got pretty good deals.

But I'm keen to understand, do the tour companies offer big discounts booking that far ahead - what's the motivation?

If you book package dealls when the initial deals come out, they do tend to offer more deals eg free dining, gift cards. Plus I find it is slightly cheaper too, not much but a few hundred.
For me personally, the motivation is having something booked. :thumbsup2
we need that something booked, to get through the tough days and it gives us something to look forward to. :goodvibes
