We are flighing next week with Virgin PE from Manchester.Does anyone know if PE is upstairs/downstairs/at the front on the Manchester flight? Also any tips for the best seats?

Thanks!

we are also travelling p/economy on 9th sept from Manchester, and when I booked in February,I was told the plane was an airbus, and pre-booked seats 18 A&C outbound and inbound. On reading many threads about the Manchester plane I rang up again ,and was told there had been a change of aircraft and it was going to be a 747-200.On the virgin website there is no seating guide for this type of plane but I was told p/economy was downstairs, and there were only 28 seats in there. But we still have seats 18A&C and supposedly there is no one in front of us.But we'll just have to wait and see:confused:No doubt we've probably been moved.

The premium seats are downstairs, towards the front. The format is 2-3-2 if I remember correctly. The very front section downstairs and the upstairs section is upper class which I think is called club Orlando or somethng like that.

Small tip for you....

If you have booked and paid for Premium Economy on Virgin, make sure you get to the airport very early on the day of your departure, and dressed very smart too.

On checking in, tell the check in staff that it is a special occasion...ie Honeymoon, anniversary etc and ask them if there is anything that they can do to make the flight more enjoyable for you.

Virgin, like most airlines, oversell by loads, hence 9 times out of 10, they are looking to upgrade people. If you are dressed smart, at the airport early, and it is a special occasion, guess who is going to be considered strongly for the bump up to Upper Class.

Upper Class on virgin is incredible. Fantastic service.

Good Luck guys.

Or you could turn up as you are as late as you can without being too late(ie not past latest check in time) to both the check in and gate and get up graded.

Also before now we have been given complimentary access to lounges because Nics has said in passing hes hungry.

Hit and miss is what I say.
