Hi, I'm new to the board and this may be a dumb question but hope you can help.

We have just received our tickets for our holiday at the end of June and have pre-purchased tickets for Disney, Seaworld and Kennedy Space Centre through Virgin. We have received vouchers with our tickets. Does anyone know how we redeem these? Do we go directly to the parks or do we have to get them from the reps. Not too keen on sitting through a 'welcome meeting' just to get them.

Sorry if this is an obvious question but bear with me!!:

We had the vouchers last year for our disney and flex tickets. If you go to the customer service desks at the entrance to the parks, hand them the voucher and they will exchange it for the tickets. I think you could exchange the Disney ones at any of the main parks apart from the waterparks but it should say on the voucher. Hope that helps.

If you are staying at a WDW hotel then reception will be able to put your Disney park tickets on your door key which is easier. If not then you just redeem them at the parks, you don't have to go to the welcome meeting. :goodvibes

Of course, I keep forgetting about that! Blame the never having stayed onsite before. Gotta love the perks of being onsite.

so if there is 2 adults and 3 kids they put all the tickets onto one room key and pressumably the key is scanned on park entry and shows how many people it covers???

I don't know, but would also like to know the answer to that. Does everyone get a room key, or just whoever the lead booker is?

Everyone in the party gets a 'Key to the World'. This acts as a your room and if you have park tickets your entry to the parks as well. You can also have charging privaliges put on one or more of the keys too.

Hey burt haven't seen you on here for a while.I was thinking only last week won't be long till you go.As elise says you will all have a card with your pass on and dining plan if you are having it.When you enter the parks you fingers are scanned(I don't think they scan young childrens fingers) and that card is then for your use to get in.I remember my mom and husband got there cards mixed up so they had to use each others for the entry to the parks. As long as you register a CC you can purchase your food and shopping with your key to the world card as well.Have an excellent holiday and I will be interested to see what you thought of port orleans. Not long for us now either.:cool1: :dance3: :cheer2: :grouphug:

Hi Crabbie,

23 days and counting!!! Really looking forward to it now, i think you arrive just as we leave so wont be able to give you my opinions until you get back, but to be honest i havent really heard anyone with anything bad to say about POR, apart from maybe the rooms are a bit small but we only sleep there so that doesnt really bother us. My main worries are the heat and the crowds, last year we went easter and it was great weather was just right and although the parks were busy they were more than managable. Anyway have a fantastic time and will catch up when we get back

we stopped at port orleans riverside last year travelling with virgin. they would not put our disney tickets on our room cards.

as we were going to a water park on our first full day we had to go to downtown disney to get our tickets.

this has never happened before and the clerk did check with her manager.

has anyone managed to get the tickets put on their room cards since October 2006 and at riverside.

We stayed at CBR in december 2006 and the tickets were put on our cards. We stayed at pop the week before and the same was done there.I have not heard of people having to get there tickets from the park when they are staying onsite. We had to for universal and seaworld but not disney.Thats the whole idea of the card that it is your key to the world.:confused3

Ahhh, I've just started a similar thread to this! Oops! :rolleyes1

Does anyone know if the Dolphin, which is not owned by Disney, also does the "key to the world" and puts the entrance tickets on the room keys?

No we had never heard of it before either and have stayed onsite on a number of occasions. Fingers crossed it was just the staff on duty that day that caused the issue and wouldn't put my tickets on my room card.

We stayed at the dolphin last year and we had to take our virgin voucher to any park ticket booth for our tickets we went to MGM as it was the nearest park we walked and it took about 15 minutes you can take the ferry if you prefer. You can still have packages delivered to your hotel but cannnot charge them to your room. We can recommmend Picabu for meals also they do a refillable mug for $10.00 the same as disney hotels but it can only be used at the swan and dolphin. We had a room with balcony overlooking the swan and epcot. Lovely rooms, lovely pool had a great stay there would go again:beach:

Thanks epcot1stfave.
I guess we will be able to exchange them at the ticket booth at the side entrance to Epcot then, as we plan on doing Epcot on the first day.
What drinks were available for the refillable mugs?

I dont know if there is a ticket booth for ticket sales at the international gateway to epcot. In the lobby of the dolphin next to the virgin reps desk there is a disney information desk which will make dinnner reservations they will be able to tell you the best place to exchange your vouchers. The cups can be used for soft drinks, tea, coffee and hot chocolate from the refreshment point in picabu`s hope this helps:coffee:

Hi - we are staying at the Poly at the beginning of our trip, but won't want it added to our room key as we are only there 3 nights and have booked a 21 day pass - should we just collect our tickets at MK entrance somewhere???

Likewise - Do you collect the Seaworld ones at their entrance??

Thanks!:thumbsup2

Hi

You might be better getting added to your room key as it is like plastic credit card whereas the ones from guest services are card. The pass will still work for the 21 days despite checking out after 3 nights.

If you don't want that you can exchange vuchers at any guest services outside the parks.
