The start date of last year's BA and Virgin's 5-day sale was Friday, 7th July. Fingers crossed for a repeat this year.

Hilary, £316 is a good price, i would book if i were you. the price is more likely to go up than down, we booked in January for this October and it cost £403 each now its £518.
we were going to use M+M on the October flight but it wasnt worth it as there was only a difference of £12

I think we probably will book the M+M - but I'm very tempted to hang fire for a little while to see if there is any kind of sale like last year. BA have just reduced their prices to around £390, so I'm sure Virgin will follow suit before too long (they're still at over £500). I'm just reluctant to use up miles when the difference in price may turn out to be negligible.
