Hi!
WE have flown with Virgin lots and are very happy with them. We are Frequent Virgins and get the discount and free car upgrade when we book our flydrives with them. We are members of Flying Club too but don't yet have enough points to get a free flight or anything worth considering.

We want to fly Virgin to Orlando this September as we like the online check in, DTD check in, the baggage allowance and the service, also we want to get more flying club points to use towards a free flight next year.

Has anyone found anywhere cheaper to book Virgin flights than with Virgin Holidays as a Frequent Virgin? We generally end up buying the whole package from them but wonder if I should be looking elsewhere for a better deal but the same flights.

Thanks for any help,
Mandy :earboy2:

Hi Mrsminniemouse

You seem the expert I've never been further than the canaries. Hope you can help me? We are flying with Virgin, 10th April 2005 was too late to pre book and get 4 seats together so are going the night before for the twighlight check in. Have you tried it and did you have any problems. Sorry can't help with your question but good luck.

1sttimer, you won't have any problems getting 4 seats together if you use the Twilight Check-in. They only release a proportion of the seats for pre-booking, with the remainder allocated upon check-in. You can now also check in online and I assume seat allocation is part of this process.

Hi 1sttimer.

I have only used Twilight Check in once but my daughter was a baby then so we had guaranteed bulkhead seats so we could have a sky cot.

Lots of people who prebook seats do find they dont actually get them the because the staff have altered it so I dont think anything is definite until the day.

If you dont get your seats together you might find a couple who are will to swap seats to help you out.

Good luck and have a great time!!!

Mandy

We are flying with Virgin in March, Easter Saturday to be exact and they were the cheapest by far to fly with over the Easter period. I have not flown with Virgin before. When we went to Orlando 2 years ago we went with Thomas Cook. Cant wait to get there!!!!!!

Thanks everyone for all your input. I have made lots of calls and online quotes and it seems I cannot save hardly anything over my Frequent Virgin quote so I guess I will book with them. The customer service team are always helpful and its nice to have it booked all in one place so I am quite happy- you just have to look for cheaper deals for peace of mind!!!! :earboy2:

Thanks again,
Mandy

For my Oct 05 holiday, booking direct with VH was (surprisingly) around £800 cheaper than anyone else. In fact the same holiday was priced at over £1600 more this week!!

I actually wanted to change my Oct holiday, but at present a fly drive is coming out more than what I have paid for 2 weeks at AKL, 1 week fly drive, car and all insurances. Cant believe it.
