Ive been checking the Virgin flight to Orlando this week and the VS027 has been on average 2 hours late every day! By the looks of it its going to be late on Saturday as well! ARGHHHHH! :sad2:

Flight number VS 027
Departure date 16 Dec 2006
Route London (LGW) to Orlando (MCO)
Scheduled departure time 16 Dec 11:15
Actual departure time 16 Dec 12:02
Scheduled arrival time 16 Dec 15:40
Estimated arrival time 16 Dec 16:41

Not too bad I guess, but it looks like the outbound flight is longer than usual, possibly due to a strong jet stream.

Claire ;)

Delays are unfortunate and regular occurrences these days, but I agree with AndRu that if a delay makes it safer then so be it. Jen will arrive safely and have a great holiday I am sure.

To be honest these days I dont count anything under an hour as a delay!- I think with gatwick it seems to be very rare for any plane to push back on time these days.

Completely agree - it is rare for a longhaul flight (especially to the USA - with the extra pre-takeoff clearances) to actually take off within 30 minutes to an hour of published departure time from Heathrow/Gatwick...

We had a two hour delay on the VS 28 on the 16th. It was due to weather and the first two hours of the flight were VERY bumpy!
