Virgin flights by another name????

I have heard a few people mention that they are flying Virgin, but have booked with the codeshare airline, is it Continental??

i've looked on the continental website, but can't work out how to book a flight from Manchester to Orlando direct - I keep getting a strange routing.

Has anyone else done this, and can they tell me how?

Unfortunately neither www.continental.com nor new.continental.com normally show codeshare flights. They would rather you went through Newark on CO flights I suppose.

It would be unusual to find the cheapest flights on their website anyway - before I emigrated to Canada I mostly used ebookers.com. (In some 7 or 8 trips they always beat CO directly)

At that time ebookers specialised in CO flights on that route.( No idea if they still do)

The Continental (Virgin) codeshare flight is Gatwick-Orlando only. Manchester flights are not direct with Continental.

We had Continental flights booked on the MAN to MCO Virgin Flight this summer.

We were informed in about March that we had to go via Newark. They don't seem to do this particular codeshare with Virgin any more.

I think its something to do with Air Atlanta Icelandic having taken over the Virgin flight but Continental wouldn't confirm this when I asked them.

Our outbound flight was great - more legroom than Virgin; nice new plane; ok food; but not such good films. Keep your free headphones for the domestic, connecting flight otherwise you have to buy another set to watch that movie!

Our return flight went very, very pear shaped due to a storm at Newark. We got back eventually but it was a day and a half later than scheduled!!!!

P.S. Continental now charge ($4) for alcaholic drinks. Soft drinks are still free and in full size cans!
