Virgin flight price hikes

Hi All,
Went through my daily ritual of checking m&m for next August as well as the normal fare prices, they are coming up at over £1000 each!!!!!!!, last time I checked they were about £750 (which is still too much for me). Any ideas why the hiked up price?

just lloked at a few dates, most expensive I saw was £798 full price not using M&M. maybe a glitch in the system, yesterday I looked at Miami route, full price was about £650 M&M £701

Could be that as M + M are normally "N" or "X" class tix (except for Orlando which is "M" class) that there were a few other economy class tix still available. ?

Do you know what the class was at £650 ?

No, just scanning a few prices looking for alternative, saw how much and thought for that price I will stick to MCO.
I did see an offer that interested me, for outbound flight on date I wanted U/C 50,000 miles + £141 tax but there was only 1 seat available, I was willing to endure all the pampering while DW and DS went in cattle class but they would not let me. I think DW words to me were "dream".

Obi, is there any way of "us mortals" checking availability and numbers of seats with Virgin, I am playing a dangerous game, having booked accomodation for August next year (£200 deposit). Dont fancy London with changes, too far and too much hassle with 4 year old. Despite earlier comments a max of £550 per seat may not end up being the case!!

Whats M and M?

Miles and Money. In economy you can use 2,000 miles from your frequent flyer account to get a discount off flights, the past year it has saved us around £3,000 (£300/seat average) but looking at next August prices it does not look like they are offering much saving. We have had great savings in school hols but off peak flights are discounted for everyone so saving tend to be harder to find.
Other classes of travel need more miles.
