I am a bit confused :confused3. I am a member of the virgin flying club (i think i'm just red!) and have seen it mentioned on this board that this could mean 10% off. Does that sound right to u guys? Also, is this just on virgin atlantic site or can i get it on flydrive virgin holidays site?

If you can get it at what stage of booking can you see it taken off the total? Thanks everyone :grouphug:

from what I understand when you phone VH you give them your flying club number and you get the 10% discount.

Do you mean Frequent Flyer Club ? If so you book online thru Virgin Holidays website, you get an opportunity to put in your FVC number, they will then deduct 10% discount on your first invoice. last time I booked it still wasn't capable of deducting the discount online!!?? :confused3

Well thanks for asking this question. :thumbsup2 I was wondering about that as I am about to book but would like to know the discount!

i don't think it is frequent flyer cos this would be our 3rd flight so we wouldn't qualify. So the discount that's shown as an online discount would that then be removed? I'm so confused. Perhaps i should just ring :rotfl:

The discount on the Virgin Holiday website is at the moment 5% unless there is an offer, like last weekend.
From what I have gathered, the frequent flyer membership is after 3 holidays, but if you join the Virgin Flyer over on the Virgin Atlantic website, you get 10% off the Virgin Holiday prices straight away, which take the place of the online discount (5% at moment)shown!
Virgin experts is that correct?

Yes, to get the Virgin Flying Club discount you have to book over the phone (can't do it online), quote your Flying Club membership number and they will deduct the 10% discount there and then.

From the VH website booking confirmation page -

HTH

Claire ;)

Also on the booking page it has the following little box to add details and asks for Frequent Virgin/Flying Club Number.

So looks like can be done online now.

Claire ;)

Thanks so much for that Clare.
It is difficult knowing how far down the online booking you can go to find your total discount, so this helps!

Thanks Claire

I'm a flying club member and I didn't know about the 10% discount on virgin holidays.

If you book with your virgin credit card, you'll also earn points that you can use in the future to get free companion flights, or money and flights.

We just booked with Virgin to ASMo next January and I asked about this and yes!!!!!! I got 10% discount instead of 5%
