Just a question on the early entry.

Where is the meeting that you pickup your "free" early entry stuff.

I emailed UK Customer services to ask if it could be dropped off at the hotel front desk or at the airport and was told "terms and conditions" said had to go to meeting but email the Reps in Florida.

I did this and got an email back that said there are no exceptions to the rule you must see a Rep to get them, however if I bought a phone card, priority seating etc etc off them they would put them all in an envelope and leave at the airport ( hmmm is that not an exception)

The meeting will be decided and you'll be told where it is when you get to the airport and see the virgin rep. They'll give you a map of where you need to go. Usually a nearby hotel function room. I've always found it to be a waste of time, as we already have all of our tickets.

Even the early entry for Harry potter... You have to use this within your first two holiday days.

I'm impressed you managed to overcome the rules and get it sent to the airport for you!

We haven't managed to get it delivered to the airport, we could if we buy something extra from them.

Just a money making exercise on their part.

I've mentioned this before on here. I pushed the Florida rep (and complained as we were not told re the early entry needin to be used within the first 2 days) and eventually we were told we could arrange to pick up everything at our hotel reception the day after we arrive. We asked for HP entry during our 2nd week ad got it.

Really was very unhappy with the way Virgin expected me to go along to a sales pitch to simply pick up IOA tickets!

I'd email them back and copy in customer services explaining that attendance at the meeting isn't fitting with your plans and would they please leave everything in an envelope at your hotel reception on the Mormon of your 2nd day (they won't leave it until you have checked in).

Thought that seemed a bit too good...

I love flying with virgin but all the t&c's linked to getting into Harry potter world one hour early makes it a no brainer for me. Just not worth it. I'll get there for opening and go straight on the ride. I can handle a 10-20 minute wait.

we just turned up at opening for HP and it was empty but still had to wait for 1 1/2 hours for the ride because it broke down AGAIN!:confused3

Unfortunate.... But can't see that happening too often. I hope!

Hi, i've just stumbled upon this thread.

I'm going with virgin in january and am staying in a villa off site. We were told that we had to go meet the virgin reps the day after arrival, but we weren't told it was for any kind of sales meeting or that we would get free tickets.

Is that all it is?
Does that mean we don't have to go because it is a bit of a pain? xx

Does anyone know what the free gift is you get with it
When we went two years ago it was a rain poncho - clear one with, 'Harry Potter' written on it as far as I remember. We didn't have a bag with us so they were a pain to carry. Still not used:lmao:

We did the buy extra tickets for Rep trick to avoid going to Welcome Meeting as when we originally booked we wern't sure about Space Centre tickets - but decided we would. They were a couple of £ dearer each but we thought worth in for early enty to HP - especially as not long open & at that time included a free breakfast.

Trying the same trick too this year - I'll let you know if it works & whether the gift has changed.:goodvibes
