Virgin complaint **update**

It's the way he kept saying his name that got me!
I think that's what made it so funny. I kept trying to read it aloud to Matt and I couldn't get the words out - I was literally crying with laughter. Apparently Sir Richard phoned the guy in person.

It's being reported on Sky News this morning.

We flew back on Sunday to Manchester on VS076 & had the most disgusting chicken with rice mush I have ever had on a Virgin flight.
Mind you as a previous poster said for a flight at £250 return my expectations were not high even though i must have flown Virgin 40 times to the US in all classes.
Very funny.

Couldn't read it to hubby for laughing!
I want to hear the phone call from Sir Richard now! - perhaps they could put on their inflight entetainment!

i know some of the meals are intresting ...to say the least but it must be hard to serve good food when on a flight theres not much you can do its only reheated cooked stuff, theres no where to cook,

On my last flight i didnt lke the choices and the crew organised for me to have a jacket potato as the crew was having that for them that day, i thought it was very good of them, after all its my fault im a fussy eater.
Main thing i couldnt understand was the filling of the sandwiches meant for children....not child like at all!! mine wouldnt touch them.

i thought the letter was funny id be taking them up on it if i was him.....

I requested children's meals for Shelby and Harley on last months flight and they ended up with jarred baby food, there were no spare meals on the flights so they had to share our food.
Maybe I should have told continental about that!!??!!

At Xmas my seat number had a child meal reserved both outbound and in, at least they had spare adult meals. DW was not happy though, they ran out of Turkey meals on row in front of us. Staff were not happy they ran out so quick, they said its same every year on Xmas day, everyone wants turkey.

Funniest complaint ever that phone call should have been recorded and broadcast on the inflight entertainment like you said. :rotfl2:

One time we flew with them they didn't have the veggie meal I had requested and they went out of their way to sort it for me, when there weren't any veggie meals left they gave me a variety of courses from their own food!

According to the follow up article, they have asked Mr Beale to go and chhose the next range of meals. How crafty!!! Now if he doesn't like the food or anyone else complains, it'll be Mr Beale's fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Think if it was me I might turn down the offer rather than be the scapegoat:rotfl2: :hyper: ::yes::

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

While reading the complaint letter, I was actually imagining Mrs Bucket (erm, Bouquet from Keeping Up Appearances ;) ) what with all the "Richard" bits! :rotfl:

I know it's a funny letter, but surely Virgin are embarrassed by how well publicised it is! :confused3 I'm glad we're not flying Virgin anytime soon as I'm a fussy eater and would have :faint: if that stuff had been put in front of me! :sad2:

That's a clever bit of spin from Virgin, saying he choses the Indian food option and wasn't used to the food!!

Oh yes, and I'm sure they have mail bags full of letters saying how much customers love their in flight food!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Personally can't say how love or hate the food - I just eat it to pass the time!

What a great letter, I could not stop laughing! Glad they are taking notice of someone......:upsidedow
