We haven't flown in the bubble since they changed the seat configurations/ Do they still disembark first class then bubble then everyone else?

On our last two flights they disembarked first and downstairs premium followed by the bubble. The first few rows of economy also got off before the bubble.

I think basically it depends on how they choose to let you disembark - and its a bit of a free for all!

Thanks, that's what someone suggested on seat guru but wanted to check it wasn't a one off

Downstairs in PE seems to get off first now. This has happened on our last three flights. We've been in row 19 so have been first to immigration!

That's why I wouldn't take seats in the bubble on the way out. PE get out slower from the bubble than they do downstairs and with the lines at immigration it makes a difference u less it is better now with the automatic desks

Row 19 is the last row of premium
next to the stairs for the 'bubble
and 25 is the first economy row also next to the stairs.

the exit is at the front of premium on the left right?

so 19 would be last out of PE, unless you peg it forward asap?

it makes sense that they let upper / PE out first - thats what you are paying for - the bubble should be just as quick to get out as the first few rows of economy though, there are only 33 economy seats upstairs.

The premium economy folk have to walk though the 5 and a half rows of economy to get out.

according to seat guru user from last month..

Premium economy experience not as good in new seating plan of upper deck. Curtain does not give privacy, noise greater and disembarkation slower having to wait for economy passengers to leave first. Not value for money as it once was.

The always use the L2 door for passengers which is the one by the stairs - between the E and PE cabins hence why row 19 is first off :goodvibes

ah when ive been on other virgin flights, NYC /SF its been the exit thats between Upper / PE thats used to get on / off :)

so in theory the bubble should get off as quickly as first few rows of economy / those that have run up the aisle etc. ;)

It's still the L2 door it's just the Heathrow based fleet have larger UC cabins :)

On the LGW fleet the crew *usually* hold back E to let the front cabin off first followed by upstairs. Sometimes though they just let the front cabin then upstairs and the main cabin is a free for all!

Wow, so many variations. Think I'll stick with the bubble as there seems to be no clear pattern. I just don't want to get off after the downstairs economy. That would be one HUGE line.

yep ive gone for the upstairs economy on the way out
we will get out quick ish - but with 3 kids the term quick is relative.

on the way home i've booked 3 rows of the twin seats. no hurry getting off on the way home.

We were in the bubble on our outward journey this September and i must say it seemed a more pleasant experience compared to the return journey down stairs which just seemed more hectic.

We were certainly off early ahead of the bulk of Economy passengers on the way out which made the immigration queue just that little bit shorter.

Would certainly try for this again if we fly Virgin.

yep I'm wondering if i should switch the return flight to the bubble too
esp as its quiter/smaller

i'm currently in 3 rows of 2 at the back of the plane so no one has to be in the middle seat.

the return flight may not be so hectic busy as its a week after school holidays end - but it is a saturday so probably full
