Hi,
Has anyone tried out Virgin Atlantic's new 'Bid to Upgrade' option on their website?
Just checked on their website our booking for our next flight which is in economy and there's an added option now to upgrade.
If you enter your booking reference in the 'My Booking' drop down menu on the right hand side of the VA home web page, you will be taken to another page which list your flight details and there's a new option called bid now to upgrage your seat with "Your Bid".
Clicking on this takes you to a new page where you can make a bid on upgrading to PE and states....
"Welcome to Your Bid, Here's how Your Bid works:
Name your price to upgrade each leg of your flight, then click Continue.
We'll notify you via email if your request for an upgrade has been approved.
If your offer is accepted, you'll be charged for the upgrade. If not, you pay nothing and keep the seat you have.
Bidding started at £80 per passenger per flight and goes up to £600.
Has anyone else tried this option yet?
