So, my parents are looking at flights to London on here next summer.
Has anyone flown it? How did you like it? How's the service? How's the food? Pretty much, just tell me anything you can about the airline.

Best airline I've ever flown, bar none. Love the TV's, had great service.
We were THRILLED when you developed an American line-- we flew to Vegas using them this summer. Same great TV's, same amazing service. The $25 per checked bag is a little :scared1:, but for their GREAT flight schedule/service/TV's (we love those TV's for long flights!!), we'll fly them forever. Fingers crossed they develop a NY-MCO run.
Couldn't recommend them more.

They are the airline that I choose personally. British airways I am avoiding until all the strikes are finished.

They are my FAVORITE airline! They have wonderful service, nice planes, AMAZING in-flight entertainment, and the food is actually decent.

I would fly them again and again.

We really like them, although we don't use them very often. They have great entertainment, TVs in the backs of the seats and tons of channels to choose from for movies, TV shows, games etc. I remember the food being good, I remember getting an ice cream cone which I thought was kind of cool! I think it was free alcohol as well - nice to have a glass of wine (or several if you're scared of flying like me!)

My grandma flew in their upstairs first class section when she flew to Orlando from London for my wedding - she said it was incredible! I don't think that's quite within my price range though!

I think they will go bankrupt before they stop threatening strike action;) Thats the same reason why I paid slightly more for my Vegas trip as only Virgin & BA fly direct. I don't trust BA

I flew to Florida using BA a little while back and was very disappointed. They flew 777s (Virgin use 747s) and the planes were very dated. The cabin crew were surly and unhelpful. I actually had a seizure whilst on the flight and the staff kept their distance as opposed to trying to help. The food was mediocre and the in flight entertainment was distinctly average.

Compare this to Virgin who had charming flight staff, excellent entertainment, top notch food and very comfy seats.

I'm visiting again fairly soon and will definitely be using Virgin.

We use Virgin Atlantic whenever we fly long haul from the UK. We have used them to fly to Orlando, Vegas, Los Angeles several times and have just booked them to go to Sydney (via Hong Kong.) We really like them as an airline. The planes are good (good food, service, entertainment) and the staff seem to care about their passengers. We have flown in the different classes with them and never had any problems.
