virgin and the Magic express

Hi all,
Can someone tell me how you book the disney magic express when you have booked with virgin, also is it any faster than other transfers, or picking up a car at the airport and making your own way to disney.

You don't get Disney's ME with Virgin, you get a free transport on a Mears coach to your hotel. It calls at different resorts..you may be the first one off...or the last. We were the last to get off last year, but I enjoyed seeing the different resorts. We never go anywhere other than our resort the night we arrive, so it doesn't matter how long it takes to get to our resort...as long as we get there. It helped that our driver was GREAT too However, other people may like to go out etc.



EDIT: Meant to say, you don't have to book it. You get a voucher type thing when you book and just head to the VH desk at the airport. They'll let you know which coach to get at the end of your holiday, back to the airport, too

Anyone staying at disney can book magic express for free - I know I just phoned disney to add it to our reservation.

Not sure which is best though virgin transport or magical express.

We usually hire a car but did use magical express last trip and is was fine.

I was interested in recent Virgin tf and asked a similar question earlier inthe week. When we used the Virgin tf in 2007 we had a minibus/van and it only dropped us at CSR then another couple at GF. Recent reports seem to say that the tf is now a coach doing multiple drops including non Disney resorts.

With DME you book direct by phoning Disney. They no longer send you luggage tags as an international visitor but they check you in upon arrival at MCO. We have used this service twice before and the DME only generally covers two or three Disney resorts. We stayed at CSR both times and the first time they went to CSR first then AKL. Last trip they went to POP AKL and then CSR.

Think we will bin our Virgin tf and book with DME again this time as it seems more likely to be a shorter journey.
