We've used Virgin Atlantic nearly all the times we've flown to the states and really like them. For us they offer a good standard service and you can check in online before you go and the night before at the airport.

The leg room is standard, we fly premium with them as leg room is a real issue as i'm the bigget fidget in the world:lmao: plus we like sitting in the bubble! You normally get a small pack with a few freebies but nothing to special.

Have a good trip:thumbsup2

Caroline flown with them twice out of Manchester, the first time was definately better than the second. We'd already used BA so maybe our expectations were set too high! Either sit near the front or at the back,on our last trip we were half way down & on both legs of the journey they ran out of "Beef or chicken sir?".."Beef please"...." Well actually we have run out of both (here's what you could have won!) have the veggie option!".
Also the age of the plane on the return leg was shocking, nothing worked!
Personally I would only use them again if the price was right & this time we are flying BA.
SD:thumbsup2

No problems with them at all when we have used them over the last two years. Plenty of legroom, decent enough food, good entertainment, attentive staff, seats fine. You get a free bag with toothpaste, brush, etc going and a small pencil like case coming back with a pen, toothpaste, etc in plus free drinks and snacks. In the past we have taken food and drinks on board with us but you don't need to with Virgin we were not hungry at all.

We've flown all our florida hols with VA,Never had a problem at all.
We dont like plane food anyway,so to us the good isnt appealing :rotfl:
The planes from Manchester are definately tired, but get you there thats the main thing.:thumbsup2 other than that our flights have been smooth,t.v's worked, the amentity kits are *cute* pen, toothbrush, past, eyemask, socks, ear plugs...you get provided pillows and blankets.:thumbsup2 and food and drinks are free!

Enjoy :goodvibes

Flown a lot with them last 2 years basically because of their frequent flyer scheme, I estimate its saved me about £5,000, came out to Florida on 1st Aug for 20,000 miles and £101 tax.
No way would I pay their full prices in school hols, they are not worth it. No better than most other airlines, their only plus point is direct. Airlines like BMI are much better but have to make a change of plane. I slated Virgin last year(and Easter this year) for there rubbish food but this time we came out they had changed the menu, I had beef cobbler which was suprisingly good. DS & DW had chicken with cheesy mash they both enjoyed.
The plane from Man was very poor again, DS's screen not working. Very tired old plane is Jersey Girl. Don't remember a Virgin flight where all 3 of our entertainment works, always a problem with at least one of them.
We always try sit row 48 next to the galley, help ourselves to drinks all flight. This flight they announced half way thru the flight no more alcohol, we don't drink on flights so didn't matter but I think a few had gone ott with the drinks so they stopped it for everyone, personally I would stop all alcohol inflight save the hassles it creates.

We have flown Virgin three times in the last two years to Orlando. We really like them!

For the entertainment you have individual screens with a choice of about 6 channels and we have never had a problem with them.

Food varys depending on the current menu - sometimes they just put very strange choices on :confused3

Kids can get a free back pack - although not sure what it has in it!

Have a great trip!

We flew with them last year.. No complaints here but if I could get a better deal with another airline I would consider it. I think some of the charters are definitely comparable or becoming comparable to VA now. The miles are a nice perk with VA but probably not a deal breaker for us.

We have flown with a lot of times to both Florida and the west coast. They are our preferred airline. I just booked with them for next year and although I could of saved around £150 for the four of us, I just couldn't see the point as they are so good. You won't be disappointed. :)

We always fly with Virgin as entertainment is on the seat back for everyone, although most airlines seem to have this, nice drink after in the air....no need to pay for it.....meals OK and even get a glass of wine with it. Best bit is landing at Orlando International airport, we like it loads better than Sanford.

We always fly Virgin to Florida. Like the planes, food and entertainment (usually). We have had odd probs with the entertainment system and sometimes the menu choices can be a mite strange but we find the service good and we like landing at Orlando International.
