VIP Tour?

the friends will not pull FPs the guide and runners pulled the passes for them. I will have a hard time understanding Disney allowing people with money to go to the front of the lines while bypassing children with handicaps to wait until a specified time to go back to the ride. That just doesnt sound right there

Disney is private property, they can run their parks however they see fit. And if it makes them money, I really don't think they care about the appearance of being "fair."

here is where I thoutght they pulled FP

Con: No line-jumping privileges; instead you go through the FastPass line.

(we waited 45 minutes in a soaring FP line. the second week in Dec.)

As many people have stated, you are confusing two very different services. The one you're referring to are off-site, non-Disney VIP touring services. The one the OP is referring to is a Disney-run, Disney sanctioned VIP touring service that has to be arranged through Disney. They are Disney employees, not third parties, so they are able to give truly exclusive, front of the line access, for a very steep rate.

This is the official service that the OP is referring to: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/vip-tour-services/

You're referring to third party services that are not affiliated with Disney.

Which was still probably better then Standby. Which is all I really want, better then standby. In the one park that actually has me scared with FP+.

The others I have all worked out...

Epcot: FP Soarin, Living with the Land and Spaceship Earth. Ride Figment & Captain Eo standby. (I Know Eo is a little hokey but for some reason it's the only 3D I have ever been able to see so I love it. I wonder if it has something to do with the glasses? Maybe they just fit over my glasses better then most or something.) That's all I want to ride anyway, so that makes Epcot a breeze.

We don't do HS

Animal Kingdom is easy because of my wife:
We both FP Safari & Nemo
I use my last for EE, and I use her last (which she wont use because the first two are all she'll do in AK, at least so far as attractions.) to FP Kali. That leaves Dinosaur for Standby and Done.

But MK? Mk with 3 Fp is going to be a nightmare. We'll both want to use all our FP here, and most of the Meet & Greets I want to do are here. Not to mention that the list of rides I want to ride is as long as my arm. Frankly the VIP Tour seems to be the only way to pull it all off in one day.

Why is it so hard to understand. Every amusement park offers these perks for people who can afford to pay, this is not exclusive to WDW.

OP, I would do this! I think it would be worth every penny.:goodvibes

Wow....a minimum of $1890?!?!

That's nuts.

Eh, nuts is in the eye of the beholder. I'm sure we all buy things that someone would consider nuts. I am in the school of thought that if you can afford it and it makes you happy, go for it.

Can they avoid backstage areas? I would rather not go backstage if I can avoid it... I have a thing about preserving the magic. It's one of the reasons I've avoided the Backstage Tour.

How do you pay for special M&Gs? Who would be available?
Do you know if they can work with me if I need to rent an ECV in the parks?

You would need to arrange those independently of the VIP Tour. Pretty much any Character could be available, but those types of greetings are very expensive -- and the rarer the Character, the more expensive the M&G. If you wanted to meet a character like Darkwing Duck, for example, you'd likely be paying for Costuming to do any repairs / reworks of the costume (as it's not in regular rotation) as well as training for the performer, then the performer's time during the day of the greeting, along with a handler and a costumer. So ... a chunk of change. A more common Character like a private meet with Minnie would be less expensive, but still very pricey.

If you're talking about wanting to take a photo with all the Characters in the parade after the parade is over, that can be one of those, "You can ask ..." things. Depends on the day, the weather, the schedule, and a number of other things. It is rarely done unless the request comes from a visiting VIP (taking a VIP tour does not, alas, make you a "visiting VIP") or there are other extenuating circumstances (Make a Wish, etc). But it's been known to happen.

If you want to guarantee it, then it would be a significant upcharge, as you would be "booking" those Characters to be where you want them to be when you want them to be there. Only Disney can give you those costs, as they depend on many factors. There's an area called Disney Event Group who books those types of things and can talk to you about what's possible and what's not, and how much it will cost. But again ... that's something you (or a representative) needs to initiate. There's not a price list on line or anything like that.

:earsboy:

For sure.....if one wants to spend $1900 for 6 hours of rides and meeting people in costumes....I say go for it.

I also still say it's nuts.

The premium VIP tour does not give front of the line access, or back door ride entrance access unless you are a celebrity where going through the regular line would cause problems and potential safety hazards.
The premium VIP tour does have a disney sanctioned approved guide (as others have stated) and you will recognize them by their plaid uniforms. If a ride has a fast pass entrance, they will bring their party to the entrance and show their ID to the cast member checking fastpass/MB. They tell them how many in the party and they will be sent through. Even with paper fp, they did not have any of the paper fp cards. They can arrange for reserved seating for shows and parades. For fantasmic, we had to be checked in by our tour guide. She was with us from 9:30am-9:00 when she checked us in to fantasmic.

They never cut in front of anyone, and it is not about having any kind of disability.
Since there are fp opportunities for character meet and greets like Mickey and the princesses, I am sure that the tour guide could allow you to use those lines instead of standby.

My DS did the Disney VIP tour for one day about a year ago. It was an amazing experience. We did a pre-tour day call with someone in the VIP department to go over, basically, what we wanted to do that day. Pick up time, attractions and shows we wanted to see, etc. They then came up with a touring plan which was flexible as we could change it on the fly.

On the day of our tour, our tour guide picked us up at YC and we started at DHS. He got us into the FP lines at every ride that offered it. The only thing he couldn't do was get us expedited access to Jedi Training. He made VIP show seating arrangements for us as we went - he just picked up his phone, made a call and made it happen.

When my son was done with DHS, he drove us over to MK and parked right outside the Buzz ride. I'm sure if you told them you want to enter the front of the park, they can make that happen. He, again, got us in every FP line. The Disney VIP guides have special ID cards that allow them to take guests through the lines. At the time, he said he could only get us FP access on rides that actually had FP. He indicated that this would all change (as it has) and many more rides would eventually have FP, so he would have greater access in the future (that future is now!!). He said he could get us into a TS restaurant (would have even tried for CRT for us), but the better use of our time with him was to eat QS - we ate at Harbour House where they had a roped off area just for VIP guests and those on the backstage tour. As a special treat for me, at the very end of our tour, he arranged for me to have front-of-the-line access to meet Tinkerbell.

When my son gets older and wants to ride the bigger rides and especially if my DH comes with us, I would definitely consider doing this again, especially if we go at a crowded time. Yes, it's expensive, but it would be a special treat for us as well. It will definitely allow you to see more of MK in one day, get great seating at shows/parades/fireworks and learn a lot about WDW! Our tour guide's parents had also worked at WDW for many years, so he had some great stories and knew a lot about the history of the parks.

Yup. Hershey has the sweet pass and that you skip all lines and go right to the front.
As does Busch gardens, sea world and six flags to name a few. This has nothing to do with disability accommodations and a person with a disability is welcome to purchase a VIP tour.
