VIP Tour upgrade to annual pass?

I’m considering buying VIP tour tickets for Universal Hollywood. Can I apply the ticket cost towards an annual pass while in the park? Thank you!

I thought the VIP tours don't include park admission so you will still need to buy that.

So, you can use the ticket that you purchase for park admission to upgrade to the AP, but not the VIP tour ticket.
