Yes, I am unhappy about the price increase but am still thinking about this tour. We know WDW like the back of our hands and can do it even during the most crowded times of the year but this is only our 2nd trip to DL as a family and want to make good use of our time.

We will be there July 8 (Tues) thru Sun July 13th. I'm thinking of scheduling the vip tour for our family of 5 on our first full day. Any tips or things we should request?

Thanks! Lisa

I guess it depends what you are interested in. We have booked a tour for August 12th as it is our 1st visit. When I booked I was asked a few questions about what we liked. After I booked I recieved an email from the VIP team to request specific things (I was told on the phone the more details about interests they have the better for them.) I asked to park hop, explained that we are WDW and DLRP vets so requested to see things that are unique to DL, plus the headliner rides as we love those. I also requested VIP seating for some parades, fantasmic and fireworks, a ride on the Lillybell. Plus I said that we liked learning about the history of the parks and rides so we would love to hear about that. Oh and I have already put in my dining requests which they will book as soon as they come available.
Not sure this helps, but it is what we want to do.

never have taken a tour at dl but i went to the disney site and looked up this tour and if i did my math correctly i must say that this is insane. sorry i do not wish to speak badly about disney or step on toes here but why would anybody take this tour. for that amount of money you could add a couple days to your stay. personally if you are a wdw pro look at hydroguys tips at the top of the page for a starting point. and then look at the maps online and make up a game plan. may even try ridemax for help with ride planning.

I have to say after doing the tour with the Disboard ladies, I would actually pay to do this again it was amazing!!

What I got out of the tour was this;

#1 Don't be afraid to ask for what you want, if there is something you don't want to do make sure you tell the Guide. Also on the flip side make sure to tell them what you do want to do. If its something outside their ability they will politely tell you.

#2 Don't be afraid to ask questions, even lots of questions. Some of the most fun information and side trips we received were because we asked questions. Questions also help them to see what interests you on the spot.

#3 Be ready for a lot of walking, a lot of information and a lot of fun!!!

I loved the experience and can't wait to do it again!!! Plaids ROCK!!

witch tour? we did the welcome tour it was fun. how much is the one your doing. also dose any one know if there is a halloween tour?

Thanks for the info, i've been considering a VIP tour myself and this has been a lot of help!

Thanks so much! We're still back and forth on it but we'll see. We've done most of the tours at WDW---the Family Magic was our first (four summers ago) and we still keep in touch with our tour guide. She's back home in LA now and we're taking her to Club 33 this trip! Adding on days isn't a possibility this trip so I was just thinking it would be nice to have some help and inside info this time. ITA--plaid rocks!!:cool1:
