My question is:

If you have a vip tour coupon and try to use it before the Dec. 31, but after Dec 23, when they have the last tour; do you get something else for it? Or do they just laugh in your face.

I was wondering if anyone had tried to go during the week and redeem it this last couple of week and what happened?

If you have the VIP card then they will redeem it for a pirate prize pack. If you have the pdf from finding the hidden mickey's then you are out of luck. Or at least I was when I had the pdf. Because I had also done all the quests, I got the pirate prize pack for that. So, they would not give me anything for the hidden mickey tour coupon, saying that they had just given me the pirate prize pack. (which they had). So, the pdf was sort of a non-prize when you consider most VMK players would also do all the quests. Now however, it is a little better because the new hidden mickey pdf is for the gold collection which is not part of the prize pack.

OK, this is true for WDW?. I should have said that to start.
Also I meant the pdf form.

Thanks,

You have to remeber the VMK prize mantra, just made that up. LOL REGARDLESS of how you won a prize, you can only redeem/receive it every 90 days. In your case, completing the quests would have gotten you a Tour Card, since those are not given out anymore you got the Pirate Pack. The Old Hidden Mickey pdf would have also gotten you Tour Cards or Pirate Pack. Since you just redeemed a Pirate Pack from the Quests your 90 days kicked in before you can redeem again. Bracelets are another example, you can win coupons in Pirates and Fireworks and you also get them for completing each of the 3 in park quests, but you can only redeem ONE very 90 days.

Same thing with the replacement Hidden Mickey pdf and new Hidden Mickey 2 Quest you could have 2 by completing both Hidden Mickey quests but you can only redeem one every 90 days per AP. BTW I did confirm that if you bring other APs with you, friends, relatives, etc. and even if they were not used for entry into the park you can use them to redeem prizes. Although I said AP it really means your barcoded form of entry.

I assume the policy is identical at WDW. You have to think prizes not how they were won.

Well, I found out the answer for myself.

We got to WDW early Friday about an hour and a half before the posted opening time of 9am. They were opening the park early at 8am that day. We got in just about 5 minutes before the daily opening of the park. My husband, rushed in the City Hall and asked about the tour. He was the first one that day so they had to go to the back room and get the tour book. Just to tell him that even though he was there that day before anyone else, the tour was completely booked for the whole day because other guest that had come in the day before had booked them all (I thought you couldn't do that). :(

Anyway, they said, if you take the VIP Tour conpon from Hiddden Mickey game down to the VMK central they would give us all the cards from the VIP tour.

:cool1:

What's the prize for finding Hidden Mickeys (II)?

anyone? I'm going to WDW tomorrow and would like to know if there's a print up if any from the HM II Quest completetion.

It's a PDF for the gold collection. The gold rope, penny press, turnstyle, scoreboard, chair, and number generator. It's the only way to get the gold stuff now.

I don't mind the tours being gone at all! ;)

Yeah, I didn't really mine the tour being gone since we got all the cards too. Other wise I would have had to complete for them in trivia on the tour and I would have lost for sure. I just really wanted the train teleporters, pirate couch, the jungle hat on the wall, the other stuff was fluff for me.

I want the VMK pin you got on your jacket through. :teeth:
Where did you get it? I didn't see it last week at WDW.

Hi Cat,
Did you get the jungle stuff on the wall - the binoculars and stuff - from VMK central? They are not giving that out in Disneyland, unless you were lucky enough to win it on the tour.
Also at Disneyland when I was there last week, the magic shop was out of Magic Mirror cards, and had been for a couple of weeks the CMs said. But they wouldn't substitute anything for it. The CM's at the VMK booth said there was nothing they would do and I should call the 1-800 number at the bottom of the VMK website :rotfl: There is no number there, I told them. But they assured me there is and that I should call it! :rotfl2: It sounds like WDW CM's are a bit more knowledgeable and generous than the Disneyland CM's.

Yes, I got a couple of the "Jungle stuff on the wall - the binoculars and stuff". But only because they were "supposed" to still be doing the VIP tours and they weren't. Jarrod, the guy at VMK Central who gave us the cards, I don't know if he was being generous or couldn't count. He gave us (just the 2 of us) 5 gold designer sets cards, 5 jungle room cards, but none of a couple of the other "included" cards, like the frontierland quest pin. He gave us 2 wanted posters even though you are suppose to get them at Buzz Lightyear; we didn't even know we got any at all until we got home later.

I asked the lady in the pin shop if I could get extra pin cards (none of the 3-4 people in front of asked for any) and she gave me 10; but it was a major deal to get the 2 gold ear cards for the 2 hats we bought because the lady wouldn't stop talking about her son and his first trip to WDW. And the thousand-year-old guy in the candy shop was more interested in insulting people then serving them and didn't want to give me any cards at all for the 3 things we bought there, but I wasn't leaving without them. LOL

One thing I learned (too late, we found out just as we were leaving the park) you can get a printed map of the locations all the real penny press machines in the park. That is what Paul likes to collect. You get them from Guest Service at the entrance to the park, one of the Cast Members told us.

I got them for turning in insider tour cards. Apparently the pin is a compensation prize to ease our disappointment for there being no tour, which was fine by me!

I yelled so loud when she opened her hands to show me them! I was like OMG OMG PLZ PLZ!! lol

I just went on Friday and didn't get to go on the tour and didn't get a pin.

not a happy camper
